In A rural town, in the middle of North Carolina, lived a little girl named Harmony. Harmony was an only child who helped her parents run their family farm. Harmony had fun riding her bike, running through the fields, and swimming in the pond.

Hi! My name is Harmony.

Even though Harmony had a lot of freedom and the farm kept her busy, she was bored and lonely sometimes. She would close her eyes and look up to the sky and think what it would be like to have a friend to share her time with each day.

Harmony went to a small school. Most of her classmates lived miles away. She was 8 years old and was only allowed to ride her bike one mile away from home.

One day, Harmony and her parents loaded up their truck with the vegetables they had grown and they drove it to the local farmer's market.

At the farmer's market, Harmony grew bored because it just was not busy like most weekends.

All of a sudden, Harmony heard a voice say, "Hi. My name is Kevin." Harmony was shocked to see a boy about her age talking to her.
