World War II was a massive fight between many countries around the world.

One of them being the United States.

World War II was from 1939 to 1945. 

During this time, men were drafted to join the military, while women were expected to stay at home and take over the jobs left behind by the men. 

This was a huge time for women because socially, women were not expected to hold jobs similar to those of men.

But when the men needed help fighting, the women of the U.S. came to help them.

A group of women created the organization known as the WASPs. WASPs stands for Women Airforce Service Pilots. 

These women worked and trained really hard to be able to help the men in World War II. Many of these women were criticized for their efforts.

The WASPs had many tasks like ferrying refurbished planes to other airbases...
