Vinton Gray is an

the internet. the 

internet was created 

in 1958, but the 

World Wide Web 

came later   in 1993.   

21 years ago, Tim 

Berners-Lee 

published the 

world's first website 

from a lab in the 

Swiss Alps. CERN.

The first laptop to 

be commercially 

available was the 

Osborne 1, released 

in 1981 by the 

Osborne Computer 

Corporation

WiFi technology was 

invented by scientists at 

Lucent and AT&T in 1991 

in the Netherlands. The 

technology was originally 

intended for cash 

registers. WiFi as we now 

know it was developed 

throughout the 1990s by 

Vic Hayes, who developed 

the 802.11 wireless 

standard.

but now we get a "letter" or mail in a few 

seconds.
