Hello, boys and girls. Today we are going to 

learn about sharing. If you look to your left, 

you can see that these two fish are sharing 

their candy cane. 

When we are playing with our friends, we need 

to share. When we are in our small groups, we 

need to share. 

When we share, it shows we care. Also, we 

have more friends if we share.

Sarah wants to play with the new classroom 

toy, but Trisha was already playing with it first.

Sarah goes to Trisha and tries to grab the toy 

from her. 

Trisha starts to cry. Sarah starts yelling at 

Trisha "GIVE ME THAT TOY NOW!!"

At recess, Mr. Armstrong notices that no one is 

playing with Sarah. He goes to Sarah and asks 

what's wrong.

Sarah tells him, "No one wants to play with 

me. All they do is tell me I'm mean!"

Mr. Armstrong tells Sarah he knows exactly 

what's wrong. He tells her the other friends are 

afraid of her because she always takes things 

without asking. 

Mr. Armstrong talks to Sarah and says, "Sarah, 

if you were playing with this ball, how would 

you feel if I came up and took it from you?"

Sarah replies, "I would be really mad at you 

and wouldn't want to play with you!"

Mr. Armstrong says, "Sarah, this is exactly 

how the other kids feel when you take things 

from them. It makes them feel upset."
