P.s: I Love my dog

It was a regular afternoon for the Smith family. Mrs. smith was driving home after picking up her daughter, Ashley ,from school. She was talking about how her day went in school today. Suddenly she went quiet when they stopped at the traffic lights
. Her eyes were caught on to something. There was a man on the street. He was wearing old clothes, he had a water bottle on his hand and nothing else.
- “ Mom, who is that guy and why is he sitting on the sidewalk?” she asked.
- “ I don’t know honey, he is probably a homeless guy who lives in the streets.” answered Mrs. Smith.
She had so many thoughts at that moment. How could a person live like that? Does that mean he had no family or friends? What about a bed, a pillow? Any clothes? And food? What was he eating in a day? Mrs. Smith broke the silence when these thoughts were running through Ashley’s mind.
-“ Are you okay Ashley, you look sad” she said. Little girl answered:
-“Can we invite him to dinner sometime? I know it sound crazy but he must be starving, I feel very bad for him.”
Her mother said so aggressively.
-“ You’re not expecting us to invite some random guy into our house, are you? He might try to hurt us or steal our money. Or do the craziest things that I can’t even think of.” The girl was ready to speak:
-“ But mom, listen-” Mrs. Smith said no again immediately.
After that day they saw the homeless man almost every day. Ashley tried so hard to convince her parents for days. Then someday Mr. Smith said:
-“ Maybe we should give him a chance, I chatted with him a little the other day his name is Eric and he was actually really nice to me.”
After her husband’s approval, Mrs. Smith accepted and agreed too. Two days later they picked up Eric and drove home. They met and sat at the dinner table. Eric started to talk about his life after Ashley’s nonstop questions. Turned out, Eric was a successful lawyer until a few years ago. He was making a lot of money. He never got married but he was always happy. He said he traveled almost twenty countries.
Everyone was in shock and so impressed. He finished his words by saying:
-“ They blamed me for something I didn’t do, so I lost everything. Be careful who to trust. Life standards can change quickly. I hope good luck always follows you.”
He thanked the family then he left. Mrs. Smith said:
-“ I can’t believe how kind and mature he is, he also had such a successful career in the past.” Mr. Smith added:
-“ I agree. (We shouldn’t be judging people by their appearance.) As they say. ‘’We should never judge a book by it’s cover .”
