Once upon a time, there was a little girl.

Her name was Maggie and she HATED school.

Every day she couldn’t wait to go home.

One day she decided she had enough.

She sat down on the couch and refused to get up!

Her parents tried to get her to go to school, but she didn’t budge.

So Maggie missed school.

The next day Maggie’s parents tried to get her off the couch again, but she said “I WILL NOT go to school!”

So she missed school again.

NO!

Maggie couldn’t hang out with friends because she stayed on the couch.

She didn’t eat dinner with her family because she stayed on the couch!

Her parents tried everything to get her off of the couch. They even promised to buy her a puppy if she got up! But nothing worked. Maggie stayed on the couch.
