Monifa's class had a show and tell today.

Her classmates brought toys, books, and

games. Everyone had the opportunity to

share what they had brought from home.

Yay, Recess Time!

Monifa and her classmates walked outside to play after class. It was terribly hot outside, and Monifa became thirsty, so she went inside to grab something to drink.

Pass the ball!

I'm going back inside, I'll play more later!

Monifa reached for her water bottle in the classroom, but she was interrupted by a startling sound from behind her.

AHH! What was that?

Emily? What are you doing?

That toy isn't yours!

Monifa turned around to see Emily, one of her classmates, stealing another student's toy.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone!

Miss.H came running into the classroom and noticed the toy was missing. Before Monifa could talk, Miss.H blamed her!

Monifa did you take that toy? You're no different than I thought!

Monifa was confused and scared. She was confused about why she was the one getting blamed.

That's not me! Miss, I'm innocent!

"Innocent" how would you even know what that word means?

Everyone was taken aback by the teacher's unexpected outrage. Miss M., one of the teachers, entered the room to see what was going on after hearing someone shouting from the other room. 

Miss H, is something wrong? I overheard someone screaming in your room.

Miss M. asked her coworker about what happened and she responded with an insult. Miss M. began to laugh as she walked away after hearing the "joke".

Oh, I was just dealing with another swiper.

HAHA!

Despite Monifa's best efforts to defend herself, Miss H. brought her to the office for an act Monifa didn't do. Monifa looked to her side as Emily remained silent.

Go to the office right now! I'll have to contact your parents.

Miss, it wasn't me! Emily was the one who stole it!
