"Wake up! Wake up! WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY DOG" screamed the parrot 

hectically fling around the room. Max slowly wiped his eyes with his right paw.

"What's the matter Looker? Is the city on fire?" the superdog asked.

"Worse!" replied Looker, landing on his lamp. "Surprise Surprise and his evil 

friend Billy Bully, these stinky cats, are stealing the treasure from the King's 

palace!"

"ALFRED ROAR THE III (or actually his chamber of treasure) IN DANGER!!! 

Well this is a problem only I can solve!" Max jumped out of the bed ready for 

some action.

After he put on his superhero costume, he opened the window and bravely flew 

out, heading straight to the mighty palace. Looker followed him squeecking and 

wagging his wings. As soon as Max and Looker reached the palace, they saw two 

strange shadows disappearing in the chimney. These were the famous thieves 

called: Surprise Surprise and Billy Bully. They were dangerous burglar cats who 

stole anything they could. Surprise Surprise received his nickname from the 

fact he always loved to make evil surprises. He was smart and as fast as a 

lightning. Billy Bully was mean and selfish, therefore he earned his ugly nickname.

Max the hero already knew their plans: by coming inside the chimney unnoticed 

they could easily get to the treasury. But Max never gave up. Rapidly he flew 

inside the deep chimney, head down, arms straight. Surrounded by darkness and 

soot he suddenly bumped his head against one of the walls; and then another. That 

must have meant the chimney was getting thinner. He tried to fall in the middle, 

but unfortunately he hit his head again. Though this time it wasn't a wall. It was 

something furry...

"GET OFF MY BOTTOM!!!" cried Billy Bully with anger.

"So here you are!" exclaimed Max. It wasn't a full second when all of them rolled 

out of the fire place in some spacious room. Surprise Surprise quickly hit Max 

hard with his club...

The cats instantly started checking each door.

"These probably lead to the bedroom..."

"These to the dining room! So these must be the ones we are looking for!!!" 

decided Surprise Surprise.

Max was lying on the floor, dizzy, he simply couldn't get up and catch them.

He couldn't move his paws, he felt a dreadful pain slithering down his skull and 

spine. He almost lost all his hope, as he suddenly noticed another shadow coming 

out of the chimney. Was it another burglar?

The cats maneged to break into the room, but before they maneged to touch the 

precious treasure, they got flattened by a flying table. Well, not exactly flying... it 

was Max who regained his strengths thanks to Looker who provided him with his 

energizing bone.

"Thank you my faithful sidekick!!!" superhero dog yelled happily. Max quickly 

captured the sneaky cats in a net and brought them straight to King Alfred Roar 

III. The lion king rewarded him and threw the burglars into the dungeon.
