Does someone need to be famous to be considered the best? I would say no because my papaw Clint Jimmy Thomas is the world’s best grandparent, and he is just an ordinary man.  Papaw Jimmy is a 69-year-old retired construction worker who enjoys gardening and tending to his farm animals in Cecilia, Kentucky. My papaw may not be famous or known worldwide but he is well known and respected in his community due to his kindness and generosity.                                                

Prior to retiring my papaw helped to build many important structures such as: houses, roads, and amusement park attractions. By using his skills, he has helped countless people travel, enjoy their homes, and have a fun day! The funny thing is that people do not even know his name even when they directly benefit from his work. Have you ever driven on the Joe Prather Highway or ridden on Thunder Run or the bumper cars at Kentucky Kingdom?  If you have then you have benefited from my papaw's work. My first time on Thunder Run was even more exciting knowing that my papaw helped construct it before I was even born.
