ENERGY is anything that is capable of producing a change in matter; it is neither created nor destroyed, it is transferred between different objects or transformed.
PROPERTIES OF ENERGY:
-Energy is transformed.
-Energy is transferred from one object to another.
-Energy can be transported from one place to another.
-Energy is storable.
Types of energy:
-Thermal energy is transmitted in the form of heat.
-Mechanical energy is created by the movement of bodies.
-Electrical energy is transported by electric current.
-Chemical energy is found in fuels or food.
-Luminous energy is present in light.
-Wind energy is generated by the wind.
-Hydraulic energy is generated by the movement of water

RENEWABLE & NON-RENEWABLE SOURCES

Renewable energy sources are those that are already present in nature and that do not run out, such as sunlight, wind, sea waves, or the heat of the earth's interior.

The best-known renewable energies are:
Solar energy comes from the sun and reaches us in the form of light and heat. We can collect it with solar panels.
Wind energy comes from the wind. We can produce it with wind turbines.

Tidal energy comes from the movement of waves and tidal changes.
Hydropower is produced from water stored in reservoirs and artificial dams, which is brought down from a great height by turbines.

Geothermal energy
is generated from the heat
accumulated in the earth's interior.

The advantages of renewable energies are that they do not pollute the environment, they are infinite because they do not run out and are regenerated naturally and, furthermore, they are respectful of health because they do not generate toxic waste.

The disadvantages of renewables are that the same natural resources are not found in all parts of the world, there are countries with few hours of daylight, others that do not have access to the sea, others with very dry climates and little rain that make it difficult to store water...

Non-renewable energy sources are those which, although they are also present in nature, are depleted as we use them, such as coal, oil, nuclear energy or natural gas.
