One Day a high school student named Dwight Lopez and eight other students were suspended for ten days by three public schools in Columbus, Ohio.

Lopez, and the eight other students were in trouble and suspended for their behavior that created school disruptions.

All nine of the students were not given a hearing or warning before they were suspended for 10 days. The Ohio law did not require them too.

Lopez and the students challenged the school administration including Norval Goss, taking it to a federal court.

The students claimed that the school system put a pause to their right to an education without due process, going against their 14th Amendment.

This goes against our 14th Amendment rights!
