Once upon a time, there was a shy yellow duck. The duck had a little orange beak and big black eyes. She also had a short pointy tail and a very big body. The shy yellow duck had webbed feet to swim with. Even though she was shy, she was also kind and funny. That day, she was going home to her house.

The shy yellow duck lived in a lovely town with lots of nice people. The duck lived in a very colourful house, but actually she had two houses... a big house and a small house! The big house had a red roof and bright shiny windows. The small house had an orange roof and it was very little. 

By the town, there was a big scary owl with white eyebrows and little black eyes. He also had a pointy orange beak and a very fluffy brown body with a white fluffy chest. The big scary owl had strong wings to fly with. He had orange feet to walk with. The big scary owl was very bad... but also funny. 

The shy yellow duck was on her way home and walked through the forest. Suddenly, there was the big scary owl! He flew down from the tree and landed in front of the duck. The shy yellow duck was very scared so she ran all the way to her house. But the owl flew after the shy yellow duck on his strong wings!

The owl flew over the town and landed on a post to see where the duck went. The duck ran to her little house and hid inside. But the owl quickly flew inside the little house and the duck was very scared! The big scary owl wanted to eat the shy yellow duck! The house was so little she couldn't run away...

The little duck ran round and round the little house, in circles. But when the owl tried to fly after her, he hit the roof and couldn't fly!  The little duck went to the door and ran away. The owl walked out of the door and flew over the street. The duck went into her bigger house to be safe. 

The duck went up the stairs and hid inside the room. The owl came in but couldn't find the duck so he went back home to plan a surprise for the duck. 

But the duck was safe, hidden inside the bed in the room.
