IF I WERE.......

My name is Sandra Liddie Gumbs and I am an eighth-year teacher in the field of Information Communications Technology (ICT) at the Primary Level in Anguilla, B.W.I. Having attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Applications, it became necessary for me, as a teacher, to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Primary Education to garner the pedagogical and methodological knowledge and skills to become a trained and effective teacher. Therefore, as part of the requirements for my Degree, I had to enroll in the course JBTE/LIT 102- Promoting Writing at Primary Grades.  Consequently, this audio-visual is part of the coursework requirements for my studies.

"If I Were a Little Bit Taller."

If I were a little bit taller,

the World would seem so much smaller,

rather than feeling the heat that bounces off the street,

higher up, I would sway like the leaves dancing in the breeze.

Then, to move through the hustle and bustle of the crowds,

of which, I often want to escape because it’s just too 

busy and loud,

but like a bird with outstretched wings, I would glide like a cloud across the sky

until it was time for me to wave and say, "goodbye!"
