In 2023 it is going to be celebrated on the 21th of february, tuesday. It is a day before the start of lent, or is the same, 40 days after easter. They eat pancakes because they use the delicious food they couldn't eat during the lent.
HOW IT IS CELEBRATED
People run a race with a pan in their hands and while running they have to toss the pancake several times. In some races people run dressed up in fancy costumes. There are lots of funny dresses and it’s very funny!!!

Our personal opinion is that pancake day is a pretty unique day. It's a very interesting idea, to race or other activities with
pancakes. We think that this idea is funny and I would like to celebrate this day in Spain.
CORNISH HURLING.
ENGLISH TRADITION
The game, that we know as Cornish hurling, comes from a thousand years ago, the origin is unknown, and involves much and it involves a lot of force jumps and being light. The game is played with a metal ball, And the winner is the one with the ball. If you take it until it finishes the time you win.You can play or in the hills or in the city. The ball of Cornish Hurling is made up of: sterling silver. In the game you need to: Control the ball possession passing it and throwing, snatching and tackling to your team.

Some interesting facts of the Cornish Hurling game are: Cornish means relating to Cornwall or its people or language. And hurling means an Irish game resembling hockey, played with a shorter stick with a broader oval blade. It is the national game of Ireland.
It is celebrated on the first monday each February (the first is on the Sunday nearest to the 3 of February) The date that celebrates the anniversary of the consecration of the Paris Church.

Today the sport survives only in two communities:ST Columb Major, where the traditional hurling matches are played on Shrove Tuesday and the second Saturday following between the Townsmen and the Countrymen of the parish.
It is celebrated by playing an outdoor team game with a small silver ball. The name is similar to the Irish game, hurling, but they are different. The goal of the game is to place the silver ball into the goals that are about two miles apart. The team must control possession of the ball by passing, throwing, snatching, and tackling.
MORRIS DANCING.
Morris is derived from the word “moorish” or “morisco”.
In the very late middle ages, Morris dancers were sometimes referred to as morisco dancers but it is pretty certain that, whatever the origin of the word, there is no evidence that the dance came from the Moors or entered the country with the armies of John o’ Gaunt or anything of that sort.
