Once upon a time there was an angry volcano.

He didn't like the pressure that was building 

up.   It kept building up.

He was filled with magma and was about to 

erupt.   He didn't like it when he erupted 

because it made the sky dark.   He didn't like 

the dark.

One day the pressure got so bad that he had 

to erupt!   The lava went everywhere including 

towns.   The sky was dark.

Once it was finally done erupting, and the sky 

is finally bright again, the volcano could relax.  

He could just sit there pressure free and sit 

there and watch the world again.

After a while, the lava on the ground cools and 

becomes rock.   The rock was not hot.   It also 

was very dark rock.

After a while the ground became very fertile 

and grass and trees and other types of plants 

started to grow again.  

Now after a while the rock breaks down and 

becomes little pieces of sediment.   Soon the 

sediment turns into sedimentary rock.

  This is what the magma can also create. After 

a long time the sediment becomes hard and 

turns into a rock.   The sediment is now an 

igneous rock.

After another long time the rock hardens and 

comes together even more and becomes 

metamorphic rock.   The pressure is what 

caused this.   And the heat.
