In 2176 the world erupted in a chaotic war that destroyed all of humanity except a small village in Korea. The small town took all of its strongest men and created a wall to hide its people from the horrible, chaotic world. The village people knew they were the only hope for the earth so their respected comrade required each family to have 2 children. Every month, each family would receive a parcel with all the food and clothing they would require for the month. In the future, the only people who knew of this event were the last remaining survivors.

Prologue

    Once upon a time in a future not so far-fetched, a boy just like you and me named Duri decided he was destined to become a rebel; he was going to disobey the one rule he had always been told not to. He was going to commit the only crime that had a guaranteed death sentence; he was going to cross the border.    

Woah.....

    All his life, Duri had, not unlike others, been told that his home was the only haven known to man. Duri, not unlike his pupils, believed this supposed truth for as long as he could remember. Even if they thought differently in his home country (Korea) it was seen as disrespectful and blatantly rude to not believe and respect your elders.

    One beautiful, sunny and luscious fall morning Duri decided today was the day he was going to leave. Like a normal weekend, he got up and got dressed in his distributed outfit, a black jeogori, and a tan baggy baji. Duri then made his way downstairs and made his regular meal, plain kimchi with extra gochujang dressing.

    After breakfast, Duri made his way outside for his daily mandated jog. Unlike most, Duri decided to take his jog early in the morning. One thought led to the next and Duri decided to make his move; he was finally going to leave.
