GALATI A NICE CITY!
Galați is the capital city of Galați County in the historical region of Western Moldavia, in eastern Romania. Galați is a port town on the Danube River. It has been the only port for the most part of Moldavia's existence. Galați is an economic centre based around the port of Galați, the naval shipyard, and the largest steel factory in Romania.

It is the city that gave Portugal its name - from very early on, when it was called Portus Cale, later becoming the capital of the Condado Portucalense, from which Portugal was formed. It is still a city known worldwide for its wine, its bridges and contemporary and ancient architecture, its historic centre, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. for the quality of its restaurants, for its gastronomy, for its main football team, Futebol Clube do Porto.

GALAȚI, THEN AND NOW


Galați used to be a thriving port on the Danube, where hundreds of steamers from many lands gathered to convey passengers and goods to the ports of the Black Sea and other places.
Galați continued to grow after the WWII and also became known worldwide for its huge steel mill and shipyard;
in the early 1990s over 50,000 people were employed by the two companies.
Galati landmarks include the Fortified Church of Precista, Galati Administrative Palace, University of Galati, Mavromol Church, The Orthodox Cathedral, Palace of Justice, Maritime Terminal, Robescu Mansion, Craftsmen Synagogue.
Acharnes is a historical suburb of Athens, seat of a Municipality since ancient times. They are located at the foot of Parnitha, one of the most important mountains of Attica.




Galati is the capital and also the largest city of Galati county, the county located near the corner of the three frontiers of Moldova, Romania. According to latest official estimates of the National Institute of Statistics, the city population was in 2009, of 290,733 inhabitants, is the 7th city in the country by number of inhabitants. It is one of the largest economic centers in Romania, Moldova respectively. Galati city has a history because it is charged and placed on the Danube, the most important artery of trade and European river, the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. Economic life developed around the Naval Shipyard, Port River, around the Arcelor-Mittal steel plant and port Ore.
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. It has been inhabited since the 7th millennium BC and has many historical attractions. The most famous of course is the Acropolis, which is the citadel of Athens in classical times (5th century B.C.).



SAMSUN
Samsun, is a city in Turkey on the Black Sea and capital of Samsun province. It is about 200 miles (322 km) northwest of Ankara.
Geography
Samsun is situated between two river deltas which jut into the Black Sea. It is located at the end of an ancient route from Cappadocia: the Amisos of antiquity lay on the headland northwest of the modern city. To Samsun's west, lies the Kızılırmak ("Red River", the Halys of antiquity), one of the longest rivers in Anatolia and its fertile delta. To the east, lie the Yeşilırmak ("Green River", the Iris of antiquity) and its delta.
