   Flamingos have long and slender legs, a long, curved neck and rosa plumage.

    FLAMINGO

They are migratory birds.

  Since Tuz Gölü (Turkey) is within flight distance on the migration route from east to west, it is a resting, accommodation and breeding point for some birds.

   They mostly live in brackish

     and salty waters, making 

    their nests in the form of a             truncated cone of mud

FLAMİNGO

   An egg is usually laid in each nest. 

 Lives an average

 of 50 years

  Flamingos  generally feed on algae

 and ant larvae, as well as animals 

   such as crabs, shrimp, artemia

 They stand on two legs in hot weather 

and one leg in cold weather.
