Madeeha is a young girl who is new to school. She is excited to start but also nervous about making new friends.

On the first day of school, Madeeha wears her hijab to school. A hijab is a head covering worn by Muslim women.

She is proud to wear her hijab and feels it is a part of her identity. But when she arrives at school, she notices that some of the kids are staring at her.

During lunchtime, Madeeha sits alone at a table. She feels sad and alone, and wonders if she made a mistake by wearing her hijab to school.

HAHAH

When Madeeha gets home, her mum notices she’s a bit sad. She feels a bit underwhelmed by the other kids judging her at lunch.

Her mum reassures her that she should be proud of who she is and where she comes from.

The next day, Madeeha's teacher, Ms. Honey, notices that she is eating alone at lunch. Ms. Honey decides to sit with her and talk to her.

Madeeha tells Ms. Honey that she feels different from the other kids because of her hijab.

Ms. Honey explains to Madeeha that everyone is different in some way, and that it's important to respect and celebrate those differences.

She tells Madeeha that she thinks her hijab is beautiful and that it's a part of who she is.
