It was a calm evening in Krebletown. The schools were old though quite clean, the buildings were covered in moss from the extreme amounts of rain, though something mysterious was going on in the science lab. Mr. Kirtus McLetamin was making a device that was so powerful it could destroy black holes and create new ones! Mr. Kirtus was failing, though. Sparks were flying everywhere, wires were shorting out, fires were starting. Mr. Kirtus was about to give up when a massive explosion destroyed the lab and almost everybody thought he was a goner. Almost everyone. Mrs. Katerson (Mr. Kirturs's wife) knew him well enough that he was smart enough to save himself. A week later, Mrs. Katerson came over to the destruction of the lab. "How did you do it, this time?" Mrs. Katerson said. She went into destruction. She found a bunch of warped metal, burned wires, some pieces of concrete but no evidence of how he escaped.
Name: Kirtus McLetamin
Marital status: Married
Job: astronomer, astrophysicist
Health: Fair (Asama, liver problems)
Age: 72
Religion: Non religious
Kids: 4 (Jeffery, William, James, Luke.)

As it turns out, Mr. Kirtus accidentally made a time-portal that sucked him in, but the energy it required to send him to the distant past was so much that it caused an explosion. Mr. Kirtus was sent back nearly forty-thousand years ago, so far back that people were just beginning to invent footwear. But ten years later, since he belonged in another time, a wormhole appeared and sucked him back home. (Mr. Kirtus didn't do much except survive and clean his clothes in the rivers.) When Mr. Kirtus arrived, a very religious person named Peter thought he got rejected from the heavens and sent him back down to earth to do more good with his life. But when he came back, there was a huge scientific discovery. But instead of using that knowledge to go through time, people used it to go through space. When he came home, Mrs. Katerson always knew that he survived. She kept saying things like, "I'm not surprised at all. You're too smart to die in a lab accident" And stuff like that.
"I always knew you would say that if I came home." Said Mr. Kirtus. They went to the TV to turn on the news, and the news title was, "Breaking news, hurricane Alexandra is baring down on Krebletown, as it reaches catagory five with wind speeds of one hundred ninety-two miles per hour! There is a mandatory evacuation! We need people to go ASAP, or get emergency supplies!" "WE NEED SUPPLIES NOW!" Said Mr. kirtus. So they went to the grocery store and hardware store to get supplies.

2 days later
When hurricane Alexandra arrived it was nuts! Trucks were flying, the storm surge was so powerful it quite literally washed away the bottom of massive buildings and dissolved concrete. The wind by the time the hurricane hit was three-hundred-fifty-two miles per hour. After the hurricane had passed, there was no more Krebletown left, so the Mclatemins moved to San Diego, California. They bought a tiny beach hut on the beach with a small bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a small office. Mr. Kirtus was working on his big and powerful apple computer for work when he noticed there was an access breach in one of the new files he created for his space machine. He saw the access link that was 10tre567ptyu, so he wrote it down and put the link in an app that could track down access links to files. The society was called: The Space Society. He couldn't stand that society. They always hacked in his computer and stole his work for themselves.
"That's it, I need a spy to stop those guys." So he searched on the internet, 'Spies who quit that I can hire'. He found this guy named Bob Jose. He made an offer to him to pay 700$ per spy mission. Bob accepted. They met at the park to discuss what they were going to do. "Hm." Bob thought. "They are hiring. I will try out for the job. Get some information if I get the job. If I don't get the job then I can secretly spy on them. That would work too. Maybe If I can get some information, we can use this against them on the news. If we can dig up dirt on them and get it national, then we can get them to stop being funded by the government." Bob said when he was brainstorming. "Hm, I like the spying idea the best." Said Kirtus. "The only problem is that The Space Society is in space, like the name suggests." Bob pointed out. "If you can sneak on the space ship and not be noticed." Kirtus also pointed out. "So it's settled then, you sneak on the space ship and try not to be noticed, can go in one of the air vents, and dig up dirt on them so that it can go national. "Hm, there might be some problems with the government because we snuck around." Bob noted.
"Yeah." Mr. Kirtus agreed. "I think we should stick to the job interview thing." Mr. Kirtus said. "Yeah." Bob agreed. Bob went to the internet, went to their website and pressed the job interview button. Bob met Mr. Kirtus at his work building. "I'm getting a job interview at The space Space Society. "I'll google what they want for job interviews, so that I can fake what they like to get the job and get information about them to tell you, but you need to remember to pay me the 700$ per spy mission." Bob said. "Yeah, okay." Mr. Kirtus said.
Chapter two:
The job interview
Bob went to the place where The Space Society held their job interviews. (Silicon valley.) When he went there the man at the office for the job interview had brown hair, green eyes, and had very hairy arms. The first question that the guy asked was: "What is your name?" "My name is Bob." Bob replied. "What is your name?" Bob asked. "My name is Jeff. Jeff Quein. Thanks for asking." Jeff replied. The next question Jeff asked was: "What do you think is the most important quality of a work place: smarts or strength?" "Hm," Bob said. "It depends on the job." Bob replied. "Very good." Jeff said. Then his phone started ringing. "Just a second." Jeff said. Jeff started talking on the phone. "Oh, yeah?" Jeff said on the phone. "You think you're in trouble right now? You're going to be in ____ trouble when you get here!" Jeff continued as he went into the other room. (Word not shown because of inappropriateness.) "Well, Bob said to himself, "that was a bad word." When Jeff came in a minute later. "Sorry for the bad word, Bob. Jeff said. "It's alright, we're adults." Bob said. "I was talking to a very lazy guy, named William McLotus. He exploded some chemicals." Bob said.
"He mixed up the chemicals that made chemicals that were explosive and could catch on fire at very low chemicals, causing a massive explosion that blew up multiple science experiments." Bob finished. "Now the next question: what is gravity in a mathematical expression?" Bob asked. "F=GM1m2 is the mathematical expression for gravity." Bob said. (Please note that F=GM1m2 is the actual mathematical expression for gravity to exist.) Jeff checked his mathematical expression folder. "Yes, that is correct." Jeff said. "Now, the next question: what is the mathematical expression that makes heat?" "Q = m•C•ΔT." Bob said. "Correct!" Jeff said.
Chapter three:
Good news, spying,
googling,
missing people and
traveling
"Now, you should hear from me in 5-6 business days." Jeff said. "Okay." Bob replied. Bob called Mr. Kirtus and said, "okay, I went to the interview and I think I will probably get the job." Bob said. "Okay, great. If you don't get the job and you have to spy, when you tell all of the bad things on the news, just tell the news that we did work for them and if The Space Society says that you didn't, just tell the news that they are lying." Mr. Kirtus said. "What if the news doesn't believe us?" Bob asked. "Well, we'll think about what we would say, then." Mr. Kirtus replied. "In the mean time, just google how to keep a job at The Space Society." Mr. Kirtus said, "so that you don't get fired." Mr. Kirtus finished. "Wait, you think that I might get fired," Bob said, "that is kind of hurtful." Bob finished. "Well, I don't think that you will be fired, I'm just making sure that you don't get fired from the job before the mission's over and we tell the national news about their cheating." Mr. Kirtus said. "Well, I think that I can keep the job on my own without needing help from the internet, but okay, I can do it just in case I would get fired if I didn't." Bob said. "Yeah, do that." Mr. Kirtus said.
"Okay, I'll google that right now." Bob said as he hung up. When he googled it, the results said: Don't snap at people, don't bring your own lunch because they have a cafeteria, definitely buy your own apple computer, they don't buy computers and the people tech people there only know how to deal with apple computers and if you buy a different computer you could be fired. "I'll make sure to do that if I get the job." Bob said to himself. Bob called Mr. Kirtus again. "I googled it, and it said that you shouldn't snap at people, don't bring your own lunch because they have a cafeteria, definitely buy your own apple computer, they don't buy computers and the people tech people there only know how to deal with apple computers and if you buy a different computer you could be fired." Bob said. "Well, bringing an apple computer because you could be fired is kind of not very nice at all, but just make sure to do all of those things." Mr. Kirtus said. "I definitely will." Bob said. When Mr. Kirtus came home, his wife said, "hey, let's go to dinner with Violet." Violet was Mr. Kurtis's friend since they met at a party, and both of the McLetamins were very good friends with her.
"Okay, I'll call her and tell her we're going to Macburger king." (Macburger king was one of their favorite restaurants.) Mr. Kirtus called her. It went to voicemail. "That's strange," he said, "she almost always picks up the phone immediately unless something's wrong." So instead of calling her, he went to her house. He knocked on the door, and it fell down. It looked like it fell down and was hastily put back up. "Hm, I'm just going to go inside." Mr. Kirtus said to himself. He went inside, and it looked like it was vandalized. He knocked on the bedroom door. No response. He knocked on the bathroom door. Again, no response. He knocked on all of the doors, and all of them had no response. He went on to this app called, FIND MY FRIEND. When he put in the phone number and it said THERE IS NO LOCATION FOUND, THERE WAS PROBABLY AN ERROR. DOUBLE CHECK THE PHONE NUMBER AND TRY AGAIN. He checked her phone number, and it wasn't wrong. He tried again. The same thing happened. That's when he started to get worried. He called his wife. "Excuse me honey, have you seen Violet anywhere?" He asked. "No I haven't." She said.
He hang up. He started to panic. He called everybody he knew, even his lab mate, Steven who he barely knew at all, the only reason they knew each other's phone number is because everybody is supposed to know everybody's phone number to exchange research. Everybody said that they hadn't seen her since yesterday. The next morning, he went back to her house and she still wasn't there. There wasn't even the slightest bit of clean up. He called the police. When somebody picked up the phone, he said, "what's your problem?" The guy asked. "Well, my friend Violet Rose Potter didn't pick up the phone when I invited her to dinner with my wife, Mrs. Katerson, so I went over to her house and the whole house was vandalized. She wasn't anywhere in the house, I checked the whole place. I even put her phone number in an app called FIND MY FRIEND and it said THERE IS NO LOCATION FOUND, THERE WAS PROBABLY AN ERROR. DOUBLE CHECK THE PHONE NUMBER AND TRY AGAIN and I did and it said the same thing. I came back to the house today and it's exactly like it was yesterday." Mr. Kirtus said. "OK," he said, "I'll look into it."
"Mr. Kirtus couldn't help but be worried. He was a nice guy and they were friends since the party. A week later and still no call from the police, but Bob called. "Hey, I got the job, and I can begin spying next Tuesday!" Bob said. "That's great news!" Mr. Kirtus said. "Make sure you get promotions so that you can get more secrets about them." Mr. Kirtus said. "I will." Bob said. Bob hung up. He called the police again. "Hey, I was wondering if you found out anything about Violet Rose Potter." Mr. Kirtus said. "No, not anything yet." The guy said. (It was not the same guy that picked up the phone the last time he called.) "Okay, just wondering." Mr. Kirtus said just before he hung up. Mr. Kirtus sighed. "I wonder when they will find anything out about her." He said to himself. Next Wednesday, Bob called. "Hey I found something out about them." Bob said. "What is it?!" Mr. Kirtus patiently asked. "Well, they actually don't only hack into your computer," Bob was saying, "they also hack into NASA's computers. Bob finished. "Oh, that could get them into serious trouble, but we should wait until we get more secrets." Mr. Kirtus said. "Yeah, definitely." Bob agreed.
It was painful for Mr. Kirtus to have to worry about two serious things at once, but he managed. He was having some apple juice in a wine glass when Bob called. "Hey, I found another secret about The Space Society. They kidnapped a person called Violet Rose Potter." Bob said. Mr. Kirtus's chest tensed. He started to get mad. He started to breathe fast with anger. "Hey, anything wrong? I hear you are breathing hard on the phone." Bob said. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine." Mr. Kirtus said. "What are they planning to do with her?" Mr. Kirtus asked. "Well, I wasn't told, but I overheard them talking about leaving her without a space suit on the moon." Bob said. Mr. Kirtus started to panic. "Where is she right now?" Mr. Kirtus asked. "Well, I heard something about her being in Maine." Bob answered. "How long until they launch her?" Bob asked. "Well, I didn't hear that, but it's probably not long." Bob said. "Which city?" Mr. Kirtus asked. "I don't know I didn't hear that either, but I know that there are fifteen Space Society stations." Bob said. "Okay, thank you." Mr. Kirtus said right before he hung up. Mr. Kirtus googled all of the locations. "I hope I will find the one soon." Mr. Kirtus said.
Mr. Kirtus bought a plane ticket to Maine so that he could leave in the hour. He packed his bags, got in his car and drove down to the airport. In the airport, he noticed somebody was following him. When he got on the plane, the guy followed him on the plane. He was in the business class of the plane, he got a soda and some potato chips and had a nice time. Except that the guy was following him. He tried to go to the bathroom, and the guy went in the other bathroom. He tried to go in the kitchen to get some food and the guy followed him. When he got off of the plane, the guy got in his car and followed him. Mr. Kirtus managed to shake him off on the freeway. Mr. Kirtus went to the first potential Space Society place in the tours. He said that he needed to go to the bathroom when in reality he was checking the place for signs where he might find Violet. His search was unsuccessful until he noticed a little line in the floor. He used his fingers and managed to figure out it was a trapdoor. He opened it and found a ladder. He went down and down and down until he reached the bottom. He found some cells with some people but he didn't find Violet yet.
He was starting to get frustrated when he hit the end of the passageway. So apparently this wasn't the place where Violet was. Or was it? He found a little indentation on the floor. He stepped on it, and it lowered a little bit. When he touched it and pushed it down, it was another trapdoor that led to another ladder. He was climbing down a while when he accidentally fell off the ladder. "Uh-oh!" Mr. Kirtus said. He fell too far away from the ladder to grab it. He fell for a long time. When he hit the bottom, he passed out almost admittedly. After a while, he woke up. When he woke up, he checked his phone. It was 4:39 PM. He had been asleep for more then three hours. He needed to check there quickly. He checked everywhere. He just found some fire supplies, an empty cell with a skeleton in it, and canned mangoes. He didn't find anything human related except the skeleton, which meant that he found no Violet. He would explore deeper, but there wasn't anything left to explore except a confusing easy-to-get-lost-in cave system. When he got back up, he didn't find any signs of Violet, not even her writing. She always took notes of new places she went.
So she wasn't there. He left the place. He grabbed a Taxi to go to Portland, that was the location of the next place on his list of checking. Again, he didn't find anything. He went to a hotel that night. The hotel was disgusting. There were cockroaches everywhere, there was some mysterious liquid all over the walls (Mr. Kirtus's guess was that it was pee) he even saw a couple of wasps. (He avoided the rooms with the wasps which, one, inconveniently, was the bathroom.) When he got in the bathroom, he saw some drowned rats in the toilet. The toilet was also clogged and there was pee. When he went to turn on the TV, it caught on fire. Likely there was a fire extinguisher nearby. When he went to the hotel kitchen, there was nothing but brown bananas, expired bacon, and moldy oranges. He didn't have breakfast there. He went to a place called Champagne Bakery in the corner. It had bacon, eggs, sausages and pancakes. He had a delicious breakfast, though he didn't feel so well after breakfast. After he ate and was paying for his breakfast, he realized why he didn't feel so well. The breakfast maker was the guy that followed him.
