The word "Split" comes from words asphalatos-spalato = meaning spanish broom, a plant/bush with yellow flowers.

Rohožník - Slovakia

The word "Ancona" comes from the Greek word Ankon that means "elbow" and was probably used to describe the shape of the coast line and the bay that has always offered a secure port to sailors.

You can meet your friends and go up the panoramic wheel in Cavour Square.
You can have a bath in the crystal clear water and sunbathe in Portonovo beach.

Our town Pleine Fougères
It is quite a small town, with only 2,000 inhabitants. So, most pupils come from other (smaller) villages, mainly by school bus.
In Pleine-Fougères there are 2 bakeries, a chemist’s, a butcher’s, one café, one restaurant, a hairdresser, a library, a church, and a skatepark. But the nearest cinema and swimming pools are 15min away.




Near Pleine Fougères, there are a lot of beautiful places: medieval cities, beaches, forests...



Saint Malo

It is the third most visited place in France after the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles ( almost 3 million visitors a year). It is an island at high tide with a medieval village and a magnificent abbey at the top.

Two years ago we walked across the bay, with a guide because it is dangerous (there are quicksands)…We played in the mud. It was fun !

Our region is called “Bretagne” ( Brittany) It's very famous for its food and celtic culture: music, dance and langage.
They are a lot of summer festivals in Brittany. “Les Vieilles Charrues” is huge, with international artists. There is also an international Celtic music festival in Lorient.

We're famous for eating salted butter: we cook and bake with it.



The most famous dish in Brittany is crêpes and galettes. Crêpes are like pancakes but thinner and broader. Galettes are the same but made with buckwheat flour and filled with anything. The traditional drink is apple cider.

In the North East of Brittany, people eat “galettes saucisse” on special occasions and on market day.
The Baguette is the most popular type of bread in France. It got UNESCO Heritage status last November!

Konstancin-Jeziorna is a town on the south of Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. It is located in the central part of our country and has almost 23 000 inhabitants. Konstancin is the only one health resort in Masovia Region and is famous for its microclimate, salina tower, pine forests and historic villas.

There are 532 pupils in our school. The school has a name of Stefan Żeromski, a Polish writer. You can find his monument in the park in Konstancin as well as his house where there is a museum now.


In Konstancin you can ride a bike, go kayaking, play sports, there are nice cafes and small shops. You can also go by bus to Warsaw and enjoy its atmosphere visiting palaces, the Old Town and modern city center.
