When COVID-19 occurs…

The occurrence of Covid-19 brought so much pain as well as greater loss of life and spirit. Ho Chi Minh City - and later many other provinces and cities - had to go through a trauma with unprecedented losses. It will take a lot of time, dedication and effort to be able to make up for and ease what more than 10 million people living in the city have experienced…

THE FATES "BLEMISHED" IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

"What has Covid-19 taken from you?" - that question is a torment for millions of people in this city because the losses can never be measured.

The father has lost his daughter and his granddaughter is still in his daughter's womb. Patient - pregnant woman Tran Thi Van was brought to the hospital by her friend when she was infected with COVID-19.

Although she was treated by a team of dedicated doctors and nurses, she and her child could not survive.

Her father, who is in the isolation ward, sought to return to Hung Vuong Hospital to look forward to seeing his daughter one last time. But according to regulations, family members are not allowed to have close contact with patients who have been infected with COVID-19. The father kept crying,but he was able to face this painful and harsh truth. He kept crying and could only say..

"Why are you hurrying, lord..."

When the doctor informed him that the state would take care of the funeral

 the father cried again and said: "Oh my god! It's too late to worry about it anymore!, my dear...".

You can see the excruciating pain that covid-19 brings. Doctor Le Minh Khoi, Deputy Director of the Intensive Care Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital shared: 

"Most people will be happy again, will pursue, will be happy, will suffer like never before. But there are also people who will never return to this life. There will also be many people who cannot return to this city anymore. It's also sweet, but maybe with the past experiences, some people don't have the courage to face it. Those who have gone. The living must live the lives of the living."

THE VALUE

The Covid-19 pandemic upended our lives. After that, we learn a lot of lessons and more appreciate life after the Covid 19 pandemic. 

Taking a moment to think about things you take for granted every once in a while isn't a bad idea.

Let me go back in time. My country was locked down like many other countries. When I was at home, I realised how beautiful and lucky I am to have a life that I consider normal and normal. Little did I know that I was taking everything for granted and complaining about the most trivial matters.

Here are the 3 most important things I realized after the pandemic:

1. Freedom

I had the choice to go wherever I wished and do whatever I wanted. 

I had the freedom to live life like I wanted to. No holds barred, and no questions asked. It was my life and my choice.

Staying indoors has taught me that losing control of the fundamental aspects of your life makes you uncomfortable. These are the things we consider usual and expected. We only realize the value of them when they vanish.

2. Food

You will not be afraid of running out of food or having to eat instant noodles with each vegetable continuously for 1 month.
