Ron did not enjoy going to school, but his mom got him up early every day to get ready. The sound of his alarm always made him dizzy; he wanted to go back to sleep.

Ron wondered what mischief he could get into as he walked to the bus. "Maybe if I get to school early, I can sneak into the classroom and lock myself inside," Ron said.

Nowadays, it is hard for Ron to get his classmates to laugh at his jokes. Today, he thought he could make the students laugh in science class. He went to the back of the course and tried his experiment. It exploded and blew a puff of smoke in his face!

The entire class thought it was hilarious. Ron knew he could still get away with ways to make his dreadful day fun. 

At the end of the day, before he left for school, his teacher asked him to talk to him. "Oh great," Ron thought, "I am in trouble." 

Mrs. Crane discussed a procedure she had planned for Ron. "Ron, sometimes you like to make the class laugh. I have a desk and board in the back for you to write one funny joke daily. Instead of disrupting our learning, you can go to the back and write something funny." 

Ron thought about Mrs. Crane's plan as he walked to the bus. He felt terrible for disrupting the class but liked how he could have his place in the back of the room. Before he got onto the bus, he turned to Mrs. Crane and gave her a genuine apology. "I am sorry, Mrs. Crane. I like our plan and try not to disrupt the class," said Ron.
