Jamie and John had planned a fun trip to the desert. Jamie said" Don't forget to bring water.” They knew they needed to pack a lot of water for their adventure because deserts can get up to 130 degrees fahrenheit.They were most excited to see cacti. Finally the big day arrived. They grabbed their supplies, which were as heavy as an elephant and climbed in the car.

Chapter 1

When Jamie and John arrived in the desert, the first thing they did was look at the cacti. They knew some cacti grew 40 to 78 feet high.Then they set off, walking to the hot sand. After awhile, John began to wish they had brought some more water. “I am glad we didn't. Those coolers were heavy camels.” said Jamie. That is when John realized that they had also left the supplies and map at the car. They were lost!

Chapter 2

Jamie and John looked around to see if there were any people. Everywhere they looked, there were no people. “ It is only going to get hotter and hotter,” said John. With no map, supplies and water, John and Jamie knew they were in trouble. They wished they wore white which reflects most of the sunlight. “I am hotter than the sun,” moaned Jamie. John wanted to look for help but Jamie knew that the best thing to do was to stay put.
