When Eric was a little boy, he loved visiting The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Everything was so exciting.
He explored ancient ruins
He became a racecar driver
He traveled the world

As time went on, Eric started to grow too old for the museum. His family started going less and less, and the exhibits didn't feel as exciting...
...until one day, they stopped visiting.

One day, Eric's grandpa came over to talk with Eric.
“Hey, Eric, remember The Children's Museum of Indianapolis?” Grandpa asks.
"Oh yeah, I remember I used to beg you to take me there," Eric says.

"Well, guess what?”
"What?"
"Since your sister, Maci, is turning four soon, we're taking her there this Saturday as a birthday present, and you're coming along too!"

Wait, what? Uh… that’s really nice, but I think I’d rather not...
Oh come on Eric, it's gonna be fun! You can go hang out with the dinosaurs again!
Um, sure. Thanks, Grandpa.

"I can't believe I'm really going there again,” Eric thinks to himself while in his room. "It can't be that bad though, right...?"

The next day, Eric’s family drives into the museum parking lot. He had been sulking, looking gloomily out of the backseat window for the entire car ride.
“Let’s just get this over with," Eric thinks to himself.

“Well, where do you want to go, sweetie?” Eric’s grandma asks.
“Dinosphere! Dinosphere!" Maci chants.

When they finally reach the exhibit, Maci starts playing with the other kids there.
Eric reads some of the information about dinosaurs, and he marvels at the huge dinosaur fossils.

“Oh, come on, you two,” Grandma says, walking over. “This will make a perfect photo for my Facebook page!”
“Say cheese!”
“We only have a few hours here, so let’s get moving,” Grandma says.
“I want to go to Playscape!” Maci says.
"That place is for five-year-olds and under, so I can't even go in there,” Eric explains, annoyed.
“The Power of Children exhibit is open! Why don’t you check that out with Grandpa?" Grandma asks. "I’ll go to Playscape with your sister and we’ll meet up later.”

“What’s in here? I don’t remember this from when I was younger,” Eric says as they enter.
“It’s better suited for older kids like you. Come on, there’s so much to learn!”

OF
CHILDREN

“This part of the exhibit is about Ryan White. He was a big figure for AIDS awareness back in the day. In these pictures, he's not much older than you!” Grandpa explains.
“Really?” Eric ponders.
“Maybe this place isn’t just for little kids after all.”
