One day, my sister Kylie and I were at Dance Team practice on a Wednesday afternoon. 

When we were on a water break, my sister checked her phone and saw that she got an email from the Ham4Ham team, which is what the Hamilton lottery is called. 

A few days earlier, we entered the Hamilton Lottery to see if we could win tickets to go to the show in New York City for $10 a ticket, not thinking we had the slightest chance of winning.

So the next day when we got the email we were freaking out! That meant that we had to plan a trip to New York from our home in Virginia in one day, because we got tickets to see the matinée show on Thursday. 

We won the Hamilton lottery!!

When we got home we told our parents and started planning our trip to New York!

No way! That's awesome! Let's start planning a day trip to New York. 

The next morning at 4am, we got on a Megabus and drove to New York!

We drove into New York City and were amazed at the skyline and so excited for the day in New York.  

We arrived at the theater and got our tickets. We took pictures and were starstruck by this amazing production.
