One hot summer day, Emily and her mom, Angie, were walking to the car after playing tennis in the park.

Mom, do you hear something?

I do...

Emily heard something weird... A faint meowing...

They heard a cat meowing somewhere, so they checked all the cars. 

They were really worried the cat was in a car because of the heat, but when they checked, they couldn't find it!

Finally, they found the cat, she was up high in a tree!

MEOWWW

I don't know what we should do, the parks service is closed today!

We can't climb the tree, it's too high!

They didn't know what to do, but Emily was not going to leave the cat. 

They sat and waited, but the cat was stuck. 

Many people walked by, but no one stopped to help.

Finally, there was hope. 

My husband is a firefighter, he'll know what to do!
