This book is dedicated to my daughter Zariah, whom I love so very much!

On a beautiful summer morning, Zariah woke up very excited. Today was her very first day of preschool! "Mama and Dada, school, school", she yelled. Zariah's mama and dada got out of bed, washed themselves up, and made her a special breakfast to start her day.

Zariah watched as her mama and dada made her pancakes with sausage and eggs which were all of her favorites. She knew not to come close to the hot stove because mama always told her how dangerous it was, so she watched from the table and smiled.

After finishing breakfast, Zariah and her mama went to her room to get dressed for school. As Zariah got dressed, her mama assisted her with putting her clothes on. "Place your shirt over your head and put your head through the hole," Zariah's mama said as she pretended to put a shirt on herself. Zariah loved to do things by herself, unless she needed the help, so her mama gave her those chances. Once they got done and gathered their things, off to school they went.
After pulling into the parking lot, Zariah said "I love school!" Zariah began to follow her mama and dada inside to meet her teacher Ms. Me'sha. Once they arrived in the classroom, Ms. Me'sha greeted them politely and asked for her name. "My name is Zariah," she replied. "Hello, Zariah, place your bookbag in your cubby and go meet your new friends," said Ms. Me'sha. While Zariah played, her mama and dada waved goodbye and told her that they would be back for her.
