Only One Earth
WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY:
Every human being has a sense of place and belonging. The only place where each living creature can feel secure and comfortable is here on Earth. The gifts of nature allow us to cater for our psychical and mental needs. Once a year on the fifth of June we celebrate World Environmental Day which is a special time of gathering together and concentrating our attention on the planet of life - the Earth.
THE AMAZON RAINFOREST - THE SOURCE OF LIFE:
The Amazon Rainforest is the beating heart of the Earth located in Brazil, near the equator. Even an inconspicuous change that happens in the rainforest can have a myriad contribution to all living organisms. This amazing region is estimated to store about 76 billion tones of carbon so that it is not lost in the atmosphere and doesn’t cause global warming. If the rainforest is disrupted, it will be only a matter of time before it turned into dry savannah. The Amazon is a home for 50 000 plant species, however due to overexploitation this number is slightly lower. Furthermore, the Amazon has a long history of human settlement. 30 million people is living in and near the rainforest. People contribute to vanishing of culture and indigenous tribes by emaciating this tropical region. It paradoxically proves that humans are unconsciously killing other humans. Once the native population, animal and plant species are lost, they are lost forever and this would ultimately be the most detrimental reification.
THE SOLUTIONS TO SAVE THE EARTH:
It is about time for us people to avert an undesirable occurrence of a natural catastrophe. There is planty of simple methods to make our living sustainable. Not only can we conserver water or replace the car trips with biking or walking but also purchase responsibly sourced products and seek out eco
friendly goods. The three crucial actions such as reducing, reusing and recycling ought to get into out habit as quickly as possible. Making even modest adjustments can maintain the harmony in our lives and the balance in nature. “Only One Earth” increases awareness of people around the whole world. It is never too late to act upon saving the Earth. The more we care about our planet, the more our planet care about us.

POLAND
Do you know any other planet inhabited by such a variety of living creatures? I don’t! Earth is our home, so every inhabitant should take care of it the best they can. Since most people can look after their homes with no problem, why is Earth so neglected? What can we do to make it better? Water is the most important life factor- without it, we wouldn’t be here today. This is why it is crucial to make sure that water supplies are kept clean and usable. It is a necessity for ecosystems to develop properly, as well as a home for many organisms that thrive underwater. To take care of the water, we shouldn’t overuse our water supply- take quick showers instead of baths, use rainwater barrels, and resort to using adishwasher for cleaning dishes and rainwater for gardening. Another part of Earth we can’t live without is air. It consists of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other chemical compounds that allow us to function properly. Air helps us breathe and protects us from harmful ultraviolet solar radiation.
It’s also an important factor in providing us with electricity with the use of windmills- when air passes through them, they generate electricity.
As for plants, the air is a crucial element of photosynthesis. Unfortunately, nowadays the air has become highly polluted, which harms our quality of life. To prevent that problem, there are many things that we can do, such as using public transport or bikes instead of cars, not setting trash on fire, and restricting the use of airplanes as a means of transport. Recapitulating all aspects of the quintessence of the subject, we come to a fundamental conclusion that it is worth it to take care of our planet. Earth is everyone’s home, and without it, life wouldn’t be possible not only for humans but for every single organism- from algae to bears!

Only one Earth
Earth is the only place that is known to mankind where life exists. It provides humankind with oxygen and other valuable resources. Each year on the 22nd of April we celebrate World Environmental Day, raising awareness about how to care for our planet. Most people claim that they incorporate ways of saving our planet like reducing and recycling. However, it is not enough.
Electric cars may seem to be one of the most efficient ways of reducing carbon dioxide. However, the designers of electric cars did not think ahead while designing the alleged eco-friendly car, I have an impression that they were more focused on making a profit. Those vehicles are not only expensive but when producing them they are harmful to the environment. According to Greenpeace from 2021 to 2030, 12.85 mln tons of batteries used in cars will not be usable anymore. Meaning, would not know how to dispose of the battery after it dies, which would make a big problem.
Another thing that is commonly regarded as something good for the environment are solar panels. However, there are a lot of disadvantages that are usually not taken into consideration when people have solar panels installed. For instance, it takes a considerate amount of money to install solar panels on your roof if you do not know how to install them by yourself. Not only is the installation expensive, but also storin
the energy. It is very costly because the panels use huge and advanced batteries that are able to store that type of energy. Additionally, solar panels take up a lot of space. Furthermore, they are not very efficient if it is only on your roof because the panels need a perfect weather conditions to get the most energy from the sunlight.
Overall there are a lot of things that may seem to be beneficial for the environment but are actually harmful to our planet. On the other hand, there are ways of taking care of our planet that are truly beneficial. For instance, composting the residues from food not only makes good organic fertilizer, but also reduces the waste that you make. Another thing that seems to have a small impact on our world but actually could make a big difference if everyone started doing it are reusable water bottles. If everyone started using reusable water bottles the amount of reduced plastic waste would decrease substantially.
All in all, not everything that is thought to be or labelled 'eco-friendly' is beneficial to the environment. For instance, electric cars and solar panels are great at what they are meant to do but they have cons that people do not take into consideration. There are a few ways to actually take care of our planet without causing much damage, for example, reusable water bottles decrease plastic waste a lot.
SPAIN - This girl is Natalia. Nati loves nature and our planet. She always cleans up the rubbish that people throw on the floor, recycles, shelters abandoned animals and she usually gives money away to charity or campaigns to save the planet.
One day Natalia was going for a walk and she met Pepe, Pepe is an old friend from school. Pepe was throwing litter on the floor and Natalia got mad, she decided to talk to Pepe and she discovered that Pepe had never recycled.
She told him that he had to throw the litter in the correct bin, she also taught him which bin to throw each type of rubbish. Pepe laughed at this and he asked why we should do that and she answered that we had to look after our planet. Pepe just laughed and he said that he didn’t care and he threw it again on the floor, he thought that we could buy another Earth, he also thought money could buy anything. Natalia taught him that we only had one Earth and he came to senses and now, thanks to Nati, Pepe always recycles and takes care of the planet, too.
A long time ago there was a place in the space called Earth. This
place was beautiful, full of green spaces, with many animals and
with the perfect characteristics for the living beings.
But humans without appreciating this wonderful place, started to
abuse of transport, to use much energy and start to cut down trees making
the Earth start to feel sick.
The Earth couldnt understand why humans were making this to her.
They know that the Earth is feeling bad but they didnt care and continued
making bad things. At least, there was a group of humans that cared about the Earth and fought for her, but the rest of the people didn´t listen to them. However, they didn’t give up because they really wanted to save the Earth. Eventually, the temperatures and the ocean started to rise, there wasn´t any water or food for everybody and many species of animals died...The Earth turned into a place where it was impossible to live in peace.
And that was when humans realised what they had done and they
regreted it, but it was too late. This is a such tragic story, but this could be real, so please take care of the Earth because this problem is for everyone. We have
to appreciate the wonderful place where we live because there
isn´t any plan B!

Óscar was a 15-year-old boy who, in his life, had no concept of recycling, reusing, etc., things. On the other hand, there was also Lucas, he was the same age as Óscar, but he did help the planet. Every day he went into his room, to try to discover ways to
save the planet. A few days ago, he saw a news item that said: quot;
"THE EARTH WILL CEASE TO EXIST IF PEOPLE DON TAKE CARE OF IT";.
And after a few years, they grew up, Óscar as a dentist, and Lucas as a scientist. Óscar threw away a lot of plastic every day, since his work required renewing the utensils for each client, and these utensils were packed in plastic. Meanwhile, Lucas won many scientific awards, as he discovered great advances in economics, recycling, etc.

We only have one earth, one planet, one place to live, one chance to
change and we need to take advantage of it.
It is going to be difficult, hard and exhausting because most people don't
want to become better persons, human beings who care about nature and
about their only home, the Earth, just because they think that this is not a
big problem and that it is not going to affect them but they are totally wrong.
Right now, there are around 50 billions of plastic fragments floating on our
oceans and seas. Moreover, the animals that they always watch on their
tv´s and that they think are very cute like turtles and birds are dying
because of the plastic that we don't recycle. "It is not a problem", so they say; and that joke of Antártida defrosting and flooding our countries could
really happen in some years because the temperature of the Earth is
increasing very, very, very fast.
What about the people who really want to help? They just dont know how
to do it. Starting may look quite complicated but I´m going to tell you some
little things that can change completely our way of life. One simple way is
by using a different material instead of plastic, it is a great idea to pollute
less, for example you can use metal straws and tote bags rather than
plastic straws and bags. Another idea is to travel in public transport instead
of using your own car or motorbike, which cause a lot of pollution that is
going to end hurting the atmosphere and also us as a consequence
because we are going to be breathing that.
In conclusion, we have to make a change right now, we don´t have more
time, and it is going to be difficult but if we do it together, we can make it
easy. We only have one Earth, we only have one opportunity.

Hope
She walks along the ocean´s shore,
As waves crash in with their sweet roar,
But as she looks upon the sand,
She sees wrappers from all brands.
It breaks her heart and she´s concerned,
How much more can Earth be burned?
She´s fed up but can´t escape
from all the damage we create.
She rises up, determined to fight,
so she can live in a world that´s clean and bright.
She ll spread the message far and wide,
A sustainable Earth for all to reside.
But within her great intention
there was only one great error,
she did all she could have done,
but none of this pain was her fault.
As she grew and saw the world,
she saw where the hurt came from.
Millionaire entrepreneurs
crushing homes to enrich the sir.
From their huge polluting factories,
to cutting the forest´s trees.
Also killing all the fish
throwing garbage at the sea.
While the people took action
trying to stop a chain reaction
that would end up killing them,
the homicidal rich men didn´t help.
And finally as her hope approached its end,
she realized how the killers didn't even care, because when Earth had all been burnt,
from them would only remain gold-plated urns.

Are you sure you are not going to regret it?
- Welcome to choose your home agency! We have a ton of planets for you to choose from!!
- Hello! I know exactly what I wa..
- Lovely! So let's start, shall we?
- Umm.. Okay, sure
- Okay, a very famous destination is Mars!!
- I am not sure…
- Hear me out, hear me out! It's a bit chilly of course but with the right warm clothes, who doesn't love fresh and cold air in the morning to wake you up? Right?
- No, I don't think Mars is for me.
- Fine. Don't worry, we have more options!!
I actually know where I want to stay.
- No, you don't. So how about Venus? Since you don't like the cold, the obvious place to go is Venus. It's never cold there!
- No, thanks, I don't think I'll like it.
- You're a very difficult client, you know that? I don't have many more planets for you to choose from currently.
- Well, I do have an idea. How about earth?
- What? Earth? You want to stay on earth? It's a destroyed place with so many problems. All the forests and seas that made her special are ruined and polluted now. It's a shame, since there is no replacement.
-I know! That's why I want to go there. Where else am I going to enjoy the heat and the cold? The sun and the snow? The sea and the mountains? All that beauty that exists on Earth is one of a kind. Someone has to remind the citizens of this planet that!!

I believe
In recent years, we have been hearing s lot about issues related to pollution and the destruction of the environment.
Many programs we mobilized by the events, that showed that our planet is in danger, and we need to protect it, and started various activities for the protection of our world. These organizations carry out continuous actions and updates aimed at all people of every social class about the alarming state of our planet and how every ordinary citizen can make our world a better place with small, easy, and simple habits.
I believe that everybody should take responsibility because the places we destroyed they will never return. Also, we have to think that our planet is unique for us because there is no life in other planet of our galaxy, at least with the information that we have today.
Many people believe that with technology from our side we will cope with the problem because all we have to do with our mindset. For example, if somebody that in the future he will have a little robot will follow us to carry the rubbish that we throw away he must be kidding. Robots are here to make our lives easier not to carry out all irresponsible and careless things that we do. Every little thing we do to provide the situation is important.
Last but not least, we must have at the back of our minds that something destroyed will not turn in the first situation. That could take may years but it might be too late.

Our earth is only one
Imagine you are a doctor and one day, a patient visits you. That patient suffers from an abnormally increasing fever, cough and dehydration. Several serious symptoms, would you not be concerned? I can assure you that you already know this patient. It is our planet earth!
The planet’s temperature is increasing rapidly and dangerously. Carbon Dioxide emissions prove to be a massive threat to its destruction. Water waste is another major issue. However, it is not a coincidence that human activity is what has created these problems.
You would never damage your own home which provides you with all sorts of goods, so why damage the earth which does the exact same job on a bigger scale? After all, life without it would be non-existent.
It is our home earth that all these beautiful tall trees grow on. It is our home earth that is shelter to all these different forms of life. It is our home earth that you take your every step on.
Some individuals may think “I do not care; it does not affect me.” but little do they know it directly does. A variety of agricultural products tend to be doubled the starter price due to crops failing.
Crops fail because of abnormal weather conditions, the increased earth’s temperature undoubtedly assists to that. Today it might be a change in the price, but tomorrow it will be a massive failure and absolute starvation.
Where will you go then? Our earth is only one.

Earth
Earth, our home planet that is unique for many reasons, but its available water and oxygen are two defining features.
Water covers roughly 71% of Earth´s surface, with most of that water located in our planet´s oceans. And Earth´s atmosphere consists of oxygen, produced by plants. Earth happens to orbit the sun where temperatures are just right to maintain liquid water on our planet´s surface.
Our planet suffered a lot of consequences throughout the years because our neglectful behavior.
The population doubled and due to that the pollution increased and a lot of chemical substances were created.
Tons of animals disappeared because of hunters and the waters got way more polluted.
How to avoid damaging the planet?
1. TRAVEL RESPONSIBLY
One of the most efficient ways of lowering our
environmental impact is by travelling responsibly. This
means choosing a more sustainable way to get from A to
B walk or cycle when you can.
2. EAT SUSTAINABLY
Farming animals for meat and dairy requires space and huge inputs of water and food. Today, one of the biggest causes of forest loss is the expansion of agricultural land for animal feed production, such as soy.
3. REDUCE YOUR WASTE
Recycling what we can, reduces the amount of new materials we are making, and upcycling is a creative way to make old items into something more valuable. For example we can reuse old tins as plant pots, the possibilities are endless!
4. VOLUNTEER FOR YOUR WORLD
Often local nature reserves or parks are looking for regular volunteers, which can give you practical conservation experience as well as helping to restore nature your local area.
And many more..
In conclusion I really want to make sure you understood my message and you will take care of our only planet and stop throwing trash on the floor, just think that even this little can save the planet!
Thank you for reading!

WE HAVE ONLY ONE PLANET
Earth is the only planet we have, and it is our responsibility to protect it. As far as we know, there is no other planet in our solar system or beyond that can sustain human life. We must take care of our planet and preserve it for future generations.
The impact of human activity on the environment has been significant. The burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, pollution, and other destructive practices
have led to climate change, loss of biodiversity, and other environmental problems. The effects of these actions are being felt worldwide, and they are
becoming more severe with time.
It is important to remember that the Earth is a complex and delicate ecosystem. Everything is interconnected, and the actions we take can have far-reaching
consequences. For example, the loss of a single species can have a ripple effect on the entire ecosystem. It is essential to recognize the interdependence of all living
things and work to protect them.
One of the most significant threats to the planet is climate change. It is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere.
These gases trap heat from the sun, leading to rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and rising sea levels. Climate change also causes extreme weather events,
such as droughts, floods, and hurricanes, which can have devastating effects on communities.
To mitigate the effects of climate change, we must reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. This can be done by transitioning to clean energy sources, such as wind and solar power, and by reducing our energy consumption. We can also take actions to reduce our carbon footprint, such as using public transportation, eating a plant-based diet, and reducing our waste.
Another critical environmental issue is the loss of biodiversity. Many species are threatened with extinction due to habitat loss, pollution, and other factors.
The loss of biodiversity can have serious consequences for ecosystems, including the loss of important ecosystem services such as pollination, pest control, and nutrient cycling.
To protect biodiversity, we must conserve natural habitats, reduce pollution, and prevent the introduction of invasive species. We can also support conservation efforts by volunteering, donating, and advocating for stronger protections for endangered species.
In conclusion, we have only one planet, and it is our responsibility to protect it.
We must recognize the interconnectedness of all living things and work to preserve the delicate balance of the ecosystem. We must take action to address the environmental challenges we face, including climate change and the loss of biodiversity. By taking individual and collective action, we can create a more sustainable future for ourselves and for future generations.

Humans did not initially realize the negative effects of their actions and this led to pollution, which has the ability to transform our world, affecting our food and water supplies as well as our health and many other changes.
Viewed historically, environmental pollution appeared with man, and diversified according to the evolution of human society, becoming today one of the important concerns of specialists from various fields of science and technology, of states and governments, of the entire population of the earth, they have found methods to improve, replacing plastic bags with biodegradable ones or with cardboard or cloth bags, selective collection of garbage that will be recycled, special places to throw cooking oil, they found alternative methods to create energy, wind, solar and hydropower.
They have created programs and campaigns for greening and education, but few of us get involved and do something about it. Either out of convenience, or they are indifferent to what is happening around them and throw garbage randomly, pollute
waters, deforest forests, drive extremely long.
In some of the biggest cities there is the concept of Green Friday, every Friday bus transport is free.
I think it is a very good method to encourage the choice of public transport.
Even if it will take years to reach an ideal, every gesture
counts, be it as small as possible.
