La Patasola is a very popular Colombian legend, it is believed that husbands invented this legend so that their wives would not be unfaithful to them.

The legend tells of a young tenant who had a beautiful wife and three children.

One day the boss of the farm where the tenant lived was looking for a wife, he called his most trusted cowboy to go to the river and look for the most beautiful laundress of all.

The cowboy, being in the river, saw the tenant's wife, and decided that she was the most beautiful, so he called his boss and told him who the woman was.

The boss, seeing the woman, approaches her and the woman, delighted by the boss, agrees to meet him in secret.

Days later, the tenant told his friend about his concern, since his wife was less affectionate with him and was cold and distant. His friend, sympathetic to him, told him about the situation, that his wife was unfaithful to him with the boss.
