Hello I'm Aron
Hey I'm Chris
Hi I'm Ömer

Here is the poster of our project! It is on the wall of our school corridors!
12-year-old Aron, Ömer and Chris, who do not know each other even though they are at the same school, will come together by their science teacher's project "Save Energy Love Green ". Because these three excited kids; they have a great interest in nature, renewability, and sustainability.
As soon as they saw the announcements of the "Save Energy Love Green" project, which their teachers hung in every corridor of the school, they said that I should be in this project, and they started a permanent friendship and a magnificent project without realizing it.
Aron, Ömer and Chris, whom their teachers made them meet and they saw fit to work as a group, were eager to implement the project as soon as possible and to replace the wrongs they encountered at home, at school and in their environment with the right ones.

The dinner was great. We shared the tasks, boys.
and, i will work in my neighborhood for the project
i will be at school
yeah, teacher. My part is at home.
They agreed to inform each other and their teachers of every step they took.
The next morning Aron went into the class and saw that the lights were on. But there was nobody in. He realized that the lights were on during the night. He told about that situation to his friends they decided to find a solution. Because they were used to forget the lights on while leaving the class at the end of the day. After short research they discovered a lamp that works with motion sensor. If there is nobody in, it turns off automatically. They decided to install that kind of lamps to their classroom. In the break, Aron went to the principal and told about their problem and its solution. The principal happily accepted that idea. During their research Aron also learned that LED lights consume 80% less energy than fluorescent lights. He told that to the principal and they decided to switch their lamps from fluorescent to LED lights.
Aron left the principal’s room and walked into the toilet. But unfortunately, he found a tap running. He turned it off, but he knew that it wasn’t a permanent solution. When he got out of the toilet, he saw some posters about school subjects in the corridors. Suddenly he decided to organize a mini-poster contest at school. It would be about saving water in the toilets. And he decided to use all prepared posters by sticking one over each tap. Aron hurried to find his science teacher and explain his mini-poster contest idea.

Hello Aron! It is a very good idea to change the light bulbs with motion sensor lights!
Hello Sir. I have an idea about saving energy. Could you please help me on.....?
Aron found his science teacher, Mrs. Johnson, in her classroom, preparing for the day's lessons. Excitedly, he approached her and explained his idea for a mini-poster contest about saving water in the school toilets. Mrs. Johnson was impressed with Aron's initiative and saw it as a great way to raise awareness among the students.
She immediately supported Aron's idea and suggested that they involve the art and design classes in creating eye-catching posters. Together, they brainstormed the contest guidelines and decided that the winning posters would be displayed near the taps in the school toilets, serving as a constant reminder to conserve water.
Aron wasted no time in spreading the word about the mini-poster contest. He approached the art teacher, Mr. Anderson, who was thrilled to collaborate on this project. They worked together to organize a special class session dedicated to creating the posters.

Mrs. Johnson, I'd like to make a contest about saving energy in the school toilets. Could you please help me?

What a great idea, Anon. Sure!
One day Aron realized that nobody was attempted to turning off the smart board after they left the classroom to go back home. He thought that it was such a waste of electricity. He couldn’t imagine if the smartboards were left without turning off during all weekend. So, he decided to set a hand to this issue this time. He tried to find a solution that is practical and permanent but couldn’t find one. So, he consulted his IT teacher, Mr. Jobs.
Mr. Jobs was a brilliant teacher that could see beyond his students and computers. He was dedicated to use technology for creating a more comfortable life for people but without making them lose their humanity. He believed that technology could help people to save their planet if they used it wisely.
When Aron told him the problem of smartboards, he researched on the internet and came up with an idea. They could launch an application to turn off the smartboards when school ended. And it was so cheap that they applied it on every smart device at school. Aron and Mr. Jobs celebrated this wonderful idea together.

There is an app automaticly closes the devices when not in use!
Oh, this is perfect!
In the science class, Professor Jobs spoke to the children about energy. A task from the textbook introduced them to solar energy. Then, Aron thought it would be a good idea to suggest to the principal to replace the lamps in the school yard with solar lamps that would provide lighting and lead to electricity savings. At the first student council meeting, he discussed the topic with his colleagues, and they decided to go and present the idea to the principal. They went and presented the idea to the principal, who was delighted with the proposal, congratulated them, and told them to find the most efficient solar lamps to purchase.
In the next science lesson, Professor Jobs told them about a project competition on the topic "How to protect Earth's resources," and Aron came up with the proposal to participate in this competition and create a project to replace electric lamps in the school yard with solar lamps, so they could calculate the efficiency and energy savings for a day, a month, a year. From their research, they found out that there are also solar lamps with sensors that are very effective in certain areas of the school yard. They also asked for help from the IT teacher and the art teacher. Participation in the contest brought them the first prize, and the joy was great.
The children decided to tell their parents to use such lamps at home as well.

Science Class
Why don't we use solar energy instead of electricity?
One day when Aron goes out the school garden, he saw the school garden was very dirty. There were a lot of rubbish every part of the garden. He thought he must do something. Then Aron, inputted an idea to headmaster. In his opinion, every day one class will pick up rubbish the first class in five minutes. But all of the rubbish will be put different rubbish bag to separate rubbish. This idea will avail for increase about environmental consciousness. School headmaster confirmed Aron's idea. Another morning, a class go out garden. All of the students pulled on gloves and put rubbish different part of garden. As a result of the efforts made students cleaned the garden and separated the rubbish and recycled to the rubbish. By this way they raised environmental awareness in Aron's school.

Welcome to Schoolyard Cleaning Activity

In the meantime, Ömer started immediately to work for saving energy at our homes. After a long day, Ömer arrived his home and thought about their project. While he was thinking, he just noticed that lights on. This was unnecessary so he turned them off. This was a good save. Before going to bed, he brushed his teeth as usual. While brushing, he suddenly realized that the tap water was flowing needlessly. Then, he just said “This is a real waste… “and of course, he turned the tap off immediately. He got his cell phone and took photos of the tap and the lights while they were on and off. After that, he sent these photos to his friends and said “Hi friends. Let’s have a look at what I sent. They are some examples of wrongs and corrects about saving energy at home. We can share them with our teacher.” He was happy to inform his friends, so it was time to sleep.

oh my god! we waste too much energy at home. I should do something...
And so, Ömer's story and his journey to save energy at home continue, motivating and inspiring others to make a difference through simple changes in their lifestyle. Together, they formed a sustainability awareness group and organized events to share information with the local community. Ömer's initiative inspired many others to become more mindful of energy usage in their homes. Over time, these small actions turned into a larger movement, contributing to environmental conservation and the promotion of a more sustainable future. Since then, Ömer and his friends started implementing these practices in their daily lives. They realized that saving energy not only benefits the environment but also helps reduce household expenses. Upon finalizing his guide, Ömer was pleased with the outcome. He shared the document with his friends and teachers, encouraging them to adopt these measures in their homes as well. Ömer hoped that by spreading this information, they could make a difference and contribute to a more sustainable future. Ömer also learned about the importance of raising awareness about the use of renewable energy. He found out that installing solar panels at home could significantly reduce the reliance on electricity generated from non-renewable sources. In the guide, Ömer included tips on reducing energy consumption when using electronic devices. He learned about the importance of turning off devices when not in use and using energy-saving options available in many modern appliances.

the sun is shining mom, we must be careful about saving energy...
Additionally, Ömer mentioned the importance of using LED bulbs, which consume less energy compared to traditional bulbs. He also highlighted the importance of keeping electronic devices unplugged when not in use, as many of them continue to consume energy in standby mode. Ömer woke up the next morning with an idea in mind.
Ömer started researching efficient ways to save energy at home. He discovered that, in addition to avoiding the waste of light and water, there were many other measures that could be taken. He jotted down all the relevant information in a notebook and decided to turn it into a complete guide. When they saw the announcement about this project, the two girls, Ana and Denisa, found Ömer and said that we must participate, because they love nature and everything around us.It came at the right time when in our school, when the National project was underway, Green Week, during which specific activities were carried out to protect the natural environment. The two girls got to work. They saw that not all students respected separated waste collection. Thus, they created posters with specific messages that they displayed in plain sight in several places in the school and schoolyard. This has had a positive impact for both colleagues and teachers.

What a nice day! I have lots of things in my mind. Let's get started!
They were the first to collect and correctly select the waste. During a break one of the colleagues turned on all five bulbs although natural light was sufficient. Ana saw this and explained to her colleagues about the importance of reducing energy consumption and its role in our lives and protecting the environment. She told them that natural light is more beneficial to the health of our eyes. They took pictures with both the light on and off and they were pleased that all the colleagues understood their message.

You are right, Omer.
we shouldn't waste food, water and energy for the sake of the nature and our future as well.
Upon finalizing his guide, Ömer was pleased with the outcome. He shared the document with his friends and teachers, encouraging them to adopt these measures in their homes as well. Ömer hoped that by spreading this information, they could make a difference and contribute to a more sustainable future.
In the guide, Ömer included tips on reducing energy consumption when using electronic devices. He learned about the importance of turning off devices when not in use and using energy-saving options available in many modern appliances.
One day while Ömer was preparing for the school he noticed that his school uniform was small for him. His parents bought it 3 months ago but now it is small for Ömer. He is growing up and he is getting taller and taller day by day. They must buy a new one but most probably it won't fit him 2 or 3 months later. Buying new clothes all the time is bad for the family budget and causes extra carbon footprint which is harmful for the planet. He thought that what about exchanging our small clothes with our friends he decided to collect small clothes of his friends and wanted to catch attention to sustainability for the environment. Ömer will give his small ones to his friends and take the one which suits him. This is like a clothe bank to reuse the small and unused clothes. It will provide sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint. Also, it is good for the budget of the family. It will provide to save money at home and save energy. So, he created a poster about reducing carbon footprint by exchanging our clothes instead of buying new ones. He talked the details with his friends and his teacher. The teacher agreed with him, backed up the idea and added that reusing is a good way for sustainability and necessary to save energy.

mom, my school uniform doesn't fit me anymore. I do not want to buy a new one. Let's go to the second hand shop so; we reduce our carbon footprint and save money!
Ömer was ready to go to school, his mum was waiting outside the house with the car. Then, he noticed that cars produce a lot of carbon dioxide. He thought that going to school by walking or riding a bike could be more sustainable. Using public transports, it’s also a good way to reduce pollution. He decided to organize Green Cycling Groups to go to school together in groups from the different areas of the city. He created some posters to encourage people to join the Green Cycling Groups. An initiative that we can do to reduce pollution and save on petrol helping the family budget too.
