It is good to have a dog as a pet because they guard and protect, are good to help you exercise, and are    splendid companions.  I will give examples, facts and statistics about the three reasons.

    One example of how dogs guard and protect is if a snake tries to bite you, your dog would fight the snake. Did you know German Shepherds and Bloodhounds make good guard dogs? In general,   dogs will protect your home .Dogs will protect you which is why they are awesome pets.

    One way dogs make good companions is if you're upset 

your dog will calmly listen and try to comfort you.

 Did you know Golden Retrievers, Miniature Schzaneur,  Havanese, mix Pointer/Boxer, German Shepard,Siberian Husky, and Great Danes make good companion dogs?

 In general, having a dog as a companion will make you feel happier. Dogs are good companions  which is why they are   perfect pets.

One way dogs help you exercise is they need walks so you will spend a lot of time outside.

. According to the New York Times people with dogs get 4x more exercise than people without dogs. Dogs help you exercise which is why they are super pets.

    I know the concerns about money and cost.  People can do small jobs such  as junior coach, babysitter, cafe worker, fence painter, writer's camp assistant, and any other small job that works for you.

    Dogs are the best pets because they guard and protect you, are  good companions and help you exercise. This is why we all should have a dog in our household.
