Once there was a girl named Esther. She wanted to do something she loved, but something unexpected happened in her life, which changed everything. She met someone, who helped her very much.

Esther loved the piano. She always wished to play it. Her parents told her she could learn how to play the piano when she was six years old. She also had a cat named Dolce, which means 'sweet' in music.
Esther had some eye problems since she was young, and a week before she turned six, her eye doctor told her parents that she will become blind in seven days, exactly when she was six.

So her mom and dad decided to spend the whole week, taking her to art galleries, flower fields, places where she could see a lot of stars, knowing that she's never going to be able to see again in her life.
They took her everywhere. Everywhere except one place...

They forgot to take her to piano lessons for at least for a week. Esther finally understood something wasn't right. Her parents even had her teacher give permission to take a break from school for just a few days, so they could go to sight seeing places. "Mom? Dad?" asked Esther, "I feel something isn't right."
It was time to tell the truth. She was going to know about it anyways.
"Oh Esther," said her mom, "you're going to become blind tomorrow. That's why we took you to so many beautiful places." Her dad said,
"and we're very sorry we absolutely forgot to take you to piano lessons. We feel very bad."

"Don't worry about it," said Esther. "After all, you've done so much for me. Thank you for being very kind and helping me."
It was the next day, and Esther went to school.

She knew where every room was, so when she walked across the music lessons' room, she was sad. "I wish I could play the piano." she said. Just then, the piano from the room played a few notes, and no one was there. Esther knew that., so she was very surprised. She went closer to the piano, and noticed that the piano was actually talking to her!
"Hey there! My name is Upright, because I'm an upright piano! What's your name?" asked the piano, while playing itself.
"Hi Upright. I'm Esther. I didn't know pianos could talk." she said.

"Well, it's not just us, the pianos who talk. All the instruments do." said Upright.
"But how is it that no one knows about it?" asked Esther.
"Let me ask you a question. Do you listen to different types of music?" asked Upright.
"Yes, I do." answered Esther.
"Musical instruments show how they feel through the music they play. For example, now that I'm happy to meet you, I play happy notes. And the next way to hear me say words is if you listen closely. If you just passed by the music room, you wouldn't know about this."
