Love, Grandma Jody

It was a very stormy night off the beach at grandma jody’S house. the wind was howling and the waves were huge. a large and scary pirate ship creeped to shore. the pirates had to bury their treasure in a secret spot to save it from the giant storm, they made a map to where the treasure was hidden so they could find it again. they saw grandma Jody’s treehouse and knew that was the perfect spot to hide the map.
There was a boy named easton, he was grandma Jody’s grandson. He loved transformers, hockey, riding his bike, swimming and he really loved treasure hunts. He imagined scaring off a big whale in the sea that protected the pirates. then Sword fighting with the pirates, and capturing the treasure chest. Everyone would be so happy they gave him a lifetime of Mac and cheese and chocolate ice cream
Easton had a little sister named lilah. She loved her big brother and followed him everywhere. She tried to do everything he did. If he climbed a tree, she tried to climb it, If easton jumped in the pool, lilah jumped Even though she couldn’t swim yet. ( Never jump into a pool without asking your parents). Lilah was smart and fearless. She knew she could help find the treasure. And, she wanted to come on the treasure hunt.
Easton and lilah had a cousin named bear. They invited him on the treasure hunt. Bear was the only one who remembered to bring his sword. That would be okay because lilah had her bird Polly, who loved crackers. Easton had grandma Jody’s little pirate crab that always brought good luck. They were ready for the adventure to begin and would head to grandma Jody’s treehouse to make their plans.
The treehouse had trapdoors, ladders, swings and telescopes. They knew the first thing they had to do was to find the map. All of a sudden, grandma Jody’s dog “ surf dog” starting barking and barking at a little hole in the tree at the back of the treehouse . They flew through the trap door and what did they see in that hole? It was the treasure map.
they couldn’t believe their eyes. They found the map! They jumped up and down with excitement. On the map, There was an arrow where to start and an x that marked where the treasure was buried. They knew both those spots. The arrow started at the treehouse and the x was at the beach near the beach shack. They knew the first thing they had to do was to tell their parents, so off they went.
Easton and lilah’s mom and dad were surfing at the beach. They were just as excited as the kids to hear the news. the waves were getting a bit gnarly from the storm, so they decided to go have lunch before setting off. They headed to Montauk to a favorite place of grandma Jody’s. She ate there an hundred times as an kid.
