Global warming refers to the long-term increase in Earth's average surface temperature due to the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This is primarily caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, leading to the trapping of heat and a variety of environmental and climatic changes. It's a major concern for coastal change and its impacts on the planet.

Greenhouse Effect on Global Warming.
Şehit Nusrat Atmaca Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi
Greenhouse gases act similarly to the glass in a greenhouse: they absorb the sun's heat that radiates from the Earth's surface, trap it in the atmosphere and prevent in from escaping into space. The greenhouse effect keeps the Earth's temperature warmer than it would otherwise be, supporting life on Earth.

Nitrogen di oxide (N2O): Cut-off during agriculture, land use, industrial activities, combustion of fossil fuels and solid waste, as well as treatment of wastewater.
Methane (CH4): Although methane, released during the production and transportation of coal, natural gas and oil, remains in the atmosphere for a much shorter time than carbon dioxide, it is much stronger in terms of greenhouse effect. When compared under equal conditions, its effect on global warming is 25 times greater than the effect of carbon dioxide in a 100-year period. It accounts for approximately 16 percent of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions globally.
Carbon dioxide (CO2): Carbon dioxide accounts for approximately 76 percent of global human-induced emissions; It is released into the atmosphere as a result of the burning of fossil fuels, solid waste, trees and other biological materials, as well as certain chemical reactions.

Consequences of global warming
Climate change affects all regions aroundthe world. Polar ice shields are melting and the sea is rising. In some regions, extreme weather events and rainfall are becoming more common while others are experiencing more extreme heat waves and droughts. We need climateaction now, or these impacts will only intensify.

What are the consequences of climate change for the natural world?
High temperatures
Drought and wildfires
Availability of fresh air
Floods
Sea - level rise and coastal ares

WHAT IS GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate determines temperatures, weather diversity, the traits of winters, rainfall totals, as well as the nature of meteorological phenomena such as the severity of storms. It is due to this delicate relationship that we are facing both temperature rises and more frequent weather extremes and natural disasters as a result of climate change.
Climate phenomena
Extreme temperatures, drought, forest fires
Hydrological phenomena
Floods, mass movements
Meteorological phenomena
Tropical, extratropical, convective
Geophysical phenomena
Earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic activity

The impact of the Energy sector on climate change.
*Emitted due to fossil fuels other gases and particles, until the respiratory tract spreads, cancers and premature deaths It causes.
*In coal smoke radioactivity is present. Even thermal power plants, nuclear more than facilities They emit radioactivity.
*Oil production, refining, and its use various during infections ocur is coming.
*During gasoline refining air and water pollution is occurring.
*Ozone layer thinning, acid to the formation of rains and cause greenhouse effect There are.

Consequences of climate change
Changes in weather patterns
Heat waves occur more frequently, rain showers are more intense and the sea level rises. The erosion degrades the land. Extreme heat and the lack of rain causes the soil to dry up, resulting in ruined harvest yield and animals dying.
The land becomes less suitable for agriculture, vegetation is lost and the draught remains. In the worst cases, this causes food shortages among the local population.
Climate refugees
When there is no food security, people migrate to different areas, in the hope of finding fertile soil, suitable for growing crops.

What is a carbon footprint ?
The carbon footprint includes all six greenhouse gases from the Kyoto Protocol. Reducing your carbon footprint can help you live healthier and save money.
• Try to exchange, borrow, rent or buy a used one
• Buy responsibly made clothing, eg made from recycled materials or with an environmental label

Gymnasium Zabok -Croatia
* Turn off the lights when natural light is sufficient.
* Use your windows wisely! If your climate control system is on, shut them.
* Cut down the number of appliances you are running.
* Use the stairs as often as possible. Elevators consume electricity.
* The less hot water you use, the less energy is needed to heat the water.
* Print and copy on two sides, save single-sided pages for notes, and print only what you need.
