Marvin the Monkey was a very adventurous little fella! He lived with his Aunt Marge, who looked a little different than him. Marvin was always self-conscious about being a monkey and not a human, so he often dreamed of being other things.

Marvin thought, "what if I was a big ship?" He liked the idea of roaming the big blue ocean, exploring the world. He would be big and green and the people would love him! Marvin didn't think people loved him as a monkey.

But then Marvin decided being a big ship would be kind of lonely and he wouldn't be able to move around quickly, like he loves to do. He thought, "well maybe I could be a fast car!" Then he could explore the world and go fast!

But Marvin didn't like big cities, and being a car would require traveling through them. "Maybe I could be a different animal, like a rabbit." Everyone loves bunnies, and he could hop and sprint around like a spring! He imagined himself as the exploring rabbit that all the kids adored, just like the Easter Bunny.

But being a rabbit meant there would be lots of predators out to get Marvin. He wanted to be strong and safe. "Why not a shark?" asked Marvin. Then he would be king of the ocean and could rule his sea creature subjects.

Hmmmm....

But then Marvin remembered he doesn't like to swim and thought he would get tired of being a shark after a while. He continued to east his banana and brainstorm ideas of what to be so that he would feel happy being who he was.
