"Ok Hazel!'  Said MS. Jenna.  What's 50 + 80? Instead of answering, I was just dreaming about a family.  You see, I've always wanted a family! But every time they never pick me. "HAZEL!" Said MS. Jenna again, "What's 50+80? Is there something wrong with you or something going on at home? You know I can always..." I quickly interrupted, "50+80 is 130!!! "Thank you," said MS. Jenna.

As soon as I got home, my Foster parents greeted me with a cold greeting. "How was school"? They said in a lazy voice. "Good, but can I go in my room and watch tv?" "Do you think I care?" Said my foster mom. If you're wondering, my foster parents aren't fostering me because they wanna! They're just doing it for the money and I really want a family!!!!! Anyways, I ran up to my room to watch disco party! 

But first, it makes me watch an ad. This time the ad was not about cupcakes, cooking supplies, and flowers! It was about a family. Showing kids that got adopted. I couldn't bear to look at that! I quickly closed my eyes and hid them under my covers and cried for the rest of the night.

All night I thought about that ad! I couldn't stop thinking about it! At school my friend Mia Said "Hazel? You haven't been acting like yourself lately ever since your real parents..." "Don't say it," I said sharply! "You just need to worry about your business!" "Ok I'm sorry," said Mia.  "But really you've not been acting like yourself lately! Oh what am I thinking, it's probably because no one wants you! Only if a wish or a miracle happened! I'll see you after class HAZEL!"

When I got home, I decided it was time for me to leave! That's right leave! And I even had the whole thing planned out! Here's what I wrote- How to escape a BAD life! First find a place or a secret base you'd like to stay in-Grab all the food you'll need! After that say BYE! HAHA to your house and leave happily! And write this note so the foster parents won't get worried which I doubt they will.

Hey! I've thought about it and I'm not going to be staying here much longer.... SO, if you don't mind please do not go out looking for me!

                      - HAZEL

After a couple of days later no one came looking for me. Not a single person! So, I went back to my base in the woods and ate the 3 pieces of steak. When it was night I looked up at the stars and sang a song that my mother used to sing me when I was little, well before... I cried a little and started singing again. When there are millions and billions of stars, only one will be right for you and me and together they'll shine... together they'll shine. And they make one wish for you! 

I looked back up at the stars again. Quickly I saw 2 shiny shining stars! So, I made a wish! "Glowing star I wish I could have a family.  Just someone who loved me! I had parents but they died in a plane on a trip to New York... I just need one more chance! To have a family, and that is my only 1 wish." 

After I fell asleep, I dreamt that my dream came true! All of sudden there was a glowing light, and I had my true family. When I woke up I was really bummed that it was just a dream. Also, I was running out of food and that was not good! If I wanted more I would have to go back to my foster parents... WAIT! I know exactly what to do! HAHAH!!!!!!!

Ok! Now i'm gonna tell you want I'm doing! I am going to go into my foster parents house and steal/BORROW some food! I mean it's not steal because they're my temporary  parents, right? Now if you wondering, "Hazel why couldn't you have just asked them?" If I asked them they would NEVER accept me on want I did to them. Oh and I forgot here's my plan!

HOW to get FREE food

PS. This only works if you have foster parents!

1.Go to their house

2.Unlock door with bobby pin if locked

3. Grab all the food you want just not too much or else they'll know! 

After I wrote the plan, I went to their address-duck vill lane! When I got to their home, I checked all the windows, driveway, and all the other places I could see where they are home. I quickly used to bobby pin to unlock the door, and the first thing I saw WAS THE DOG! He goes by the name of chase cause he chases and barks anyone who is trespassing! Well I came prepared  for this moment! I got peanut-butter and put it outside. 

After I put it outside, Chase came right on out and gobbled up the peanut-butter! I ran inside the house and grabbed some chicken, salad, chips, sprite, bottles of water, and a giant birthday cake from left over! I quietly said the myself, " This will last me at least.... 2 weeks! I was just about leaving when I heard BING! They were home! 

I hid under their coffee table and covered my mouth. I heard them talking about this adoption fair. "Oh Ben what they heck are we going to do? We lost the foster and a real family was going to pick her up!" "I don't know Olivia. One thing for sure is that the adoption service will not be happy, Plus the only way of making our money is GONE!" "That's it Ben I'm calling the police to go look for her!"

I really wanted to just pop out from my hiding spot and say HELLO! I'm right here please take me to the family that wants to adopt me! But, something was telling me not to do it so I didn't. When my foster parents ran up to their rooms I got out of there house and ran! Well, everything was great until Chase started chasing me! Quickly I heard a voice that said "CHASE come boy what are you doing out here?"

I was running back home when I saw something CRAZY! It was a missing sign made by my best friend MIA! The sign said

MISSING-Girl 

Girl names Hazel was in my class, she has not shown up to class in about 2 weeks! To make it worse she quit school! When I went to her foster parents house they said she had left and left this note! Hey! so I thought about it and I am not going to be staying here much longer... So if you don't mind pls do not go looking for me-HAZEL

I grabbed that note and tore it into pieces! But she was right, I haven't been showing up to school! It's to late now because school about the end for summer break. I wonder if I will ever get my only friend back Mia. I had enough living in this dark deep old woods! I'm going to find a good place to live in a good place! Or I could go back to the adoption center and go see the people who want to adopt me... NO WAY! 

I wanted to get money so I could have a little bit to rent a trailer, or a little house! Hmmm, I wondered, I could do dancing on the side of the road... Ya i'll try that! And they have to pay a dollar to see me dance! I spent 20 minutes preparing a perfect dance! Oh and here's the sign I made!
