I would also like to dedicate this to my Great Aunt Mary who suffers from Alzheimer's, her soul still shines through. We love you!

Aunt Mary was my best friend. She and I spent all of our days together.
We would play with my dog Spot, and take him on walks through our town.
We made so many memories together!

We would always play with her childhood dolls, Jane and Lori.
One day, Aunt Mary forgot their names! How could she forget the doll's names?
I reminded Aunt Mary of their names and we laughed it off and continued playing dolls for the rest of the morning.

One day, when Aunt Mary was supposed to pick me up from school, she had forgotten.
After that, my Aunt Mary did not play with me anymore. I was confused and hurt.
What did I do wrong? Why was my Aunt Mary not playing with me like she used to?

One day, after school, my mother sat me down and talked to me about Aunt Mary.
"Aunt Mary will not be watching you anymore. She has been having a hard time remembering things and she needs some help." My mother said.
"What do you mean she cannot remember things?" I asked. I was confused, Aunt Mary and I had so many memories, does that mean she has forgotten them all?
