After Adam and Eve left the garden, they were taken into sin, and were sinful people. They became fruitful and multiplied all over the earth (basically that means to have a LOT of kids,) and their family grew bigger and bigger... and more sinful. Everyone was growing into a sinful nature, and God was very sad that everyone was disobeying him.

    ''I will have to flood the world,'' he decided. ''Yes, every living creature that breathes. They have all turned away from me.''

    But there was one good man named Noah who did believe in God, and he tried not to sin. So, one night, God spoke to him.

    ''Noah,'' God said, ''I need you to build an ark. The people of the world are sinful and do very bad things. You are the only good person left. I want to save you and your family... and the animals of the world. (two of every kind, and seven pairs of sacrificial animals and winged creatures,) There is a flood coming to destroy the world, so I need you to build an ark.''

    This would be very hard to believe, a flood that comes to destroy everything. But Noah trusted God and he did all that He said. It took a long time to build an ark, 100 years! but all of his family helped and God always provided.

After the ark was finished, Noah and his family and all of the animals boarded the ark. And then-

        BOOM!(thunder) CRACK!(geysers) 

TAP TAP TAP!(the rain!!!)

After 40 days and 40 nights, the rain stopped. Can you imagine being stuck in a boat for 40 days and 40 nights? With dozens of animals? Whom you have to clean up after?

    You might just go crazy. I wonder if Noah's family ever got stir-crazy, cooped up in that boat. At least they survived. That's the best part, right?
