Our world is huge!
We can use maps to look at the world. Maps show countries, provinces, states, cities, and towns in the world on a small scale. This map can help us to find our way around the world and discover new places.
Physical maps show the continents and oceans of the world. You can see the world by traveling to experience its beauty. When you travel, you can hear, see, smell, taste, and touch everything it has to offer.
The world has different levels of elevation. Some places are high and some places are low.
Mountains are at a high point of elevation but lakes and streams are at a low elevation.
Water is essential to the world. Everything in the world survives on sources of water.
Water can be calm. Lakes and ponds collect water and are a place of rest.
Water can be rushing. Oceans roar and its waves crash. Rivers run into the ocean and create a cycle system.
Animals live in the world. Some animals and creatures live in the ocean. This is their home and habitat because it helps them live.
