Chapter One
Not Again!
Oh no, Oh no, Oh NO! It's 7:40 on a school day, and I'm still in bed.
''Teresa!'' My mother calls. ''Time to eat breakfast! Hurry, or you'll be late for school!''
EEK!!! I throw on a striped pink shirt and blue jeans and quickly run downstairs.
My mom stares at me. I give her a weak smile. She still stares. I blink. ''Hmm?''
She stares at me more closely.
''Teresa... you're a mess.''
My eyes widen and I run to the upstairs bathroom and look in the mirror.
My hair is so frizzy. My eyes are crusty. Oh- to make matters worse, I have dark circles under my eyes. UGH. I quickly brush my hair, wash my face, and run toward my breakfast.
My mother sighs. ''Oh, Teresa.''
My dad looks at me. ''Eat up,'' he says, ''It's already 7:53.''
My friend, Elena, was waiting for me at the bus stop. ''You okay?'' she asks.
''Yeah, just tired,'' I sigh and shift my backpack strap to the other side.
''Go to sleep at five and wake up at five. It can help you.''
''No, that would never work,'' I said, thinking how many movie nights I'll miss.
Elena shrugs. But then her gaze flickers behind me. ''Uh oh..'' she says.
''What is it?'' I wonder.
''It's Meana Deena.''
I gasp. ''Hurry, get on the bus!" I hiss. But Elena was doing just that. Okay, pause the story. WHO'S Deena?
Facts:
She's mean
She steals.
She calls people names.
She's mean, and she is a BULLY!
Unpause: I run on the bus. The bus driver, Miss Revina, glares at me. ''Stop running!'' she yells.
I hop into a seat.
Revina sighs. ''Oh, you students drive me crazy.''
Elena squeezes my hand. ''We're safe!''
''Yeah, El,'' I agree. Suddenly, my eyes widen.
The red hair of Deena's makes us want to take our words back.
Chapter Two
Meana Deena
We sink into our seats.
''What do we do?'' I whisper.
Elaina bit her lip. ''I guess we'll just have to play it safe.''
Luckily, I can see the school already, so we should be safe.
Three minutes later, we arrived. ''Thank you, Miss Revina,'' Deena said, faking sweetness.
''No problem, Deena,'' Revina smiled. UGH. Grownups all think Deena's sweet. Which. She's. NOT! Although she was caught a few times, grownups go back to loving her.
This is SO FRUSTRATING! How did Jesus manage to love his enemies? I have NO IDEA!
