There once was a monkey named Jason. Jason
was a very mean and greedy monkey. He did
not like to share with anyone. But one day,
Jason got 21 free bananas in the mail and he
wanted a kind monkey and decided to give all
the bananas away to his friends.
Jason gave out 21 bananas.

y- intercept: The y- intercept in this story is
21. This represents that Jason had 21 bananas
before he gives them all away to his friends.

Jason has 7 friends that he made mad at him.
He wants to fix their relationships, so Jason
decides to give away his bananas. He wants to
give three bananas to each friend

Slope: the slope in this story is -3/1. This
represents Jason giving away three bananas to
each friend.

First, Jason visited his friend Ella, she is an elephant.
Jason gave Ella the first three bananas.
Jason said “I am very sorry for what I have done.”
Ella said “Thank you, and it’s okay.”
Jason then left Ella’s house to distribute the rest of his
21 bananas.

slope-intercept form: the slope intercept form
of this equation is y= -3x+21. This means that
Jason started with 21 bananas and then
changes at rate of negative 3.

Next, Jason visited his friends Patty, Lenny, Tina, and
Sean. Jason gave each of them the three bananas.
Lenny was still a little disappointed in Jason because
of the things he said when they were arguing.
Jason had three more friends to visit and 12 more
bananas to give out.

Point-slope form: the equation in point slope
form would be y-12 = -3(x-3). This is the
slope -9/3 and that reduced would be -3/1.
The point that it would be is (3,12). That
meant after Jason gave bananas to three
friends, he had 12 left.

Finally, Jason went to visit his last three friends Carl,
Beth, and Helen. All of his friends forgive him in the
future because he gave them bananas.
Now Jason has no bananas left, because he gave
them all to his 7 friends.
