Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900) was a German philosopher and cultural critic who published intensively in the 1870s and 1880s. He is famous for uncompromising criticisms of traditional European morality and religion, as well as of conventional philosophical ideas and social and political pieties associated with modernity. Many of these criticisms rely on psychological diagnoses that expose false consciousness infecting people’s received ideas; for that reason, he is often associated with a group of late modern thinkers (including Marx and Freud) who advanced a “hermeneutics of suspicion” against traditional values Nietzsche also used his psychological analyses to support original theories about the nature of the self and provocative proposals suggesting new values that he thought would promote cultural renewal and improve social and psychological life by comparison to life under the traditional values he criticized. CARLOS DARWIN
"It is not the strongest of species that survives,no is the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change"
Charles Darwin was a British naturalist and biologist who revolutionized the way we understand the diversity of life on Earth. Born on February 12, 1809, in Shrewsbury, England, Darwin is best known for his theory of evolution by natural selection.
In 1831, Darwin embarked on a five-year voyage aboard the HMS Beagle, during which he collected specimens and made observations that would later shape his groundbreaking ideas. His observations of the natural world, particularly the diversity of species and the adaptations of organisms to their environments, led him to formulate his theory of evolution.
In 1859, Darwin published his seminal work, "On the Origin of Species," in which he presented evidence for evolution and proposed natural selection as the mechanism by which it occurs. His theory challenged prevailing beliefs about the origins of life and the fixity of species, sparking widespread controversy and debate.
Despite initial skepticism, Darwin's ideas gradually gained acceptance and revolutionized the fields of biology, anthropology, and other disciplines. He continued to refine his theory and explore related topics throughout his life, publishing several other influential works, including "The Descent of Man" and "The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals."
