Every race car goes to Race-High. But you would first need to go through an exam to see how speedy, strong, and fearless you are. But one race car in particular was frowned over. One that has only two wheels and one seat. Her name is Laney Motor.

I am Laney...
Laney Motor was not like all race cars. Not at all. Some people didn’t even think to call her a race car. Race Hollow is the place where only race cars reside.
Laney’s parents were race cars. They’re old-fashioned, yes, but still race cars. Laney often wondered why she was different. So, when she turned 18 (but ten in our years,) she went to Race-High.
Examination Evan...
‘’Hi, um, my name is Laney. May I please take my exam?’’ The teacher, Mrs. Mudwheel, frowned at her. ‘’You are not a race car.’’ she said sharply.
Laney sighed. ‘’Ma'am, I know I do not look like one but I am one.’’
Mrs. Mudwheel tilted her rear mirror thoughtfully. ‘’Go see Examination Evan.’’
Laney sighed but went to the examination doctor.
‘’Are you a… um, a broken down car that was poorly fixed back together?’’ Evan Tirewill asked Laney.
Laney vroomed in frustration. ‘’No, I’m… a unique car.’’ Evan frowned. ‘’Humph. Well, we’ll see how you’d do in the exam…’’
The Strange Racecar...
Lacey went to Principal Vroomcar, as all students do before an exam race. The race was to ensure you are a proper race car.
Vroomcar studied Lacey. ‘’What a strange race car! Are you even a car?’’
Lacey sighed. ‘’I ensure you, sir, I am able to participate in the race.’’
Vroomcar vroomed. ‘’All right, then go ahead!’’
He pressed a button, and Lacey fell through a long tunnel. THUMP! She landed at the gym fields where the race was going to take place.
The Race Tracks
‘’What a strange vehicle,’’ whispered a girl named Nicole.
‘’She only has two wheels!’’ a boy named Seth said loudly.
Lacey sighed. Why did everyone think she was so strange?
Suddenly, the horn blew. It was time for the race to start!
Laney the Unique
The race cars vroomed and started driving! But for Lacey, it took a while for her engine to start.
The race cars laughed at her. They were almost to the finish line! But Lacey finally got her engine started, and she vrooooooomed! to the finish line first!
The other race cars stared at her in disbelief.
Mrs. Mudwheel whistled.
‘’Why, I don’t think you are a race car at all. What shall you be called…?’’
Lacey had the perfect name. ‘’Motorcycle!’’
Soon, more motorcycles somehow entered Race Hollow, and the mayor knew that a motorcycle was a real vehicle.
