Once upon a time there was an old lighthouse standing on the shore of a great ocean, in the middle of the waves. The old man who lived in this lighthouse was named Joseph. Joseph was a lighthouse keeper who spent years in this lighthouse, guiding sailors for 30 years. He lived alone in the lighthouse. In fact, he was all alone.

One day, the wind turned into a storm and the sky was suddenly covered with dark clouds. Joseph was in the lighthouse. He noticed that a fishing boat in the distance was caught in a storm. Joseph took immediate action.

He guided the fisherman using the light of the flashlight. The fisherman, struggling alone in the storm, reached the harbor safely by following the light of the lighthouse.

The fisherman's name was Mehmet. Mehmet survived with Joseph's help and felt grateful to the lighthouse and Joseph. Joseph and Mehmet became friends from that day on. Mehmet's wife wanted to visit Joseph with her children to thank him. This visit turned into an event that takes place on the first weekend of every month.

Mehmet's family loved Joseph like a grandfather. Mehmet's little daughter, Elif, was running up the stairs in the lighthouse to join Joseph, while her twin Ali was enjoying listening to maritime stories. Mehmet's wife Zeynep, together with Joseph, was preparing a rich table.
