1. Woof. Woof is a simple dog word used daily for many things but mostly used at playful times. Like, woof, let's play! Or, woof, I see a squirrel! It also tells what a dog wants, politely. Woof, I want my dog food.

2. Arf. The playfulest form of barking. Mostly used during playtime.

3. Bark. To ask for something as a command. It also means a dog feels fierce and protected. Whatever the case is, barking is not the friendliest trait.

4. Whimper. Whimpering usually means the dog is hurt or misses the owner.

5. Yap. a sound a dog makes when a dog is TOO excited. Yap! Yap! I'm so excited you're back!

6. Yip. It's the same thing as yap, just slightly different. Yip! Yip! Hooray! I see a squirrel to chase...

7. Growl. The most dangerous of dog noises. The dog is angry and needs alone time. Or, maybe the dog is protecting something or someone. Either way, a growl means to STAY AWAY!

8. Whine. a high-pitched noise showing discomfort in a dog.
