When Emily is told she cannot be a computer scientist because she is a girl, and other girls in her grade are limited from participating in STEM classes due to their gender, Emily is sad, and her best friend Samantha is furious.  Samantha has always been told that she can do anything she puts her mind to, so she and Emily work together to come up with a plan so girls can be scientists and always receive an equal access to STEM classes and education.

Jade Hudson grew up in Hong Kong and is from Vancouver, Canada.  She is a Junior at Claremont McKenna College where she is majoring in Chinese while pursuing the pre-med track.  She hopes to become a doctor one day and believes that anyone can pursue a career in STEM if they want to!
