While the development and increase in its usage area day by day makes the internet an indispensable element, this situation also brings with it some negativities. The internet, which provides countless advantages when used consciously, also carries the risk of addiction and the dangers and habits that may come with addiction.

Addiction is defined as a person losing control over an object he uses or an action he performs and being unable to live without it.

The penetration of the internet into our lives has also led to an increase in online shopping. Studies have shown that people with high levels of internet addiction mostly prefer online shopping, show great interest in online advertisements of brands, and continue this attitude on social media. As the level of internet addiction increases, the proportion of people who find online shopping more advantageous and safe also increases. When the relationship between intensive internet use and online shopping is examined, it has been determined that individuals who are heavy internet users are more prone to online shopping.

Cyberbullying is when someone uses the internet, social media, or any digital platform to harass, threaten, or humiliate someone else. It can be anything from mean comments and rumors to serious threats. Because it happens online, it can feel like it never goes away and can be really tough to deal with.

Cyberbullying can really mess with someone’s life. It can make people feel lonely, sad, and scared. It can affect their self-esteem and mental health. Sometimes, it can even make them feel like they have nowhere to turn. We need to remember that words hurt, whether they’re said face-to-face or through a screen.

Don't let the haters win!

They're like the mosquitos of the internet – annoying, relentless, and just plain sucky. 

But here's the thing: you don't have to let them ruin your online experience. 

Think before you post!

Sometimes, a careless post can attract unwanted attention.  Think twice before sharing anything too personal or controversial. Remember, once it's online, it's kinda hard to erase.

Take a break!

The internet can be overwhelming sometimes. If you feel targeted, take some time off social media. Disconnect and do something that makes you happy.
