Karsen's military family had lived in Tampa, Florida, for the past two years when his dad said it was time for them to move to Fort Leavenworth, an Army post in Kansas.

Karsen felt sad because he didn't want to leave his friends. He knew that he would miss his friends when he moved.

In July, the moving company packed everything inside their home. It was hard to watch his things getting put into boxes.

Then, the movers put the boxes and their furniture into a big moving truck.

Karsen and his family got into their SUV and drove for a few days until they arrived at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Karsen's dad got the keys to their new house. 

As they drove down the street, he looked for children playing.
