A STORY-by Roxana -VIIIth grade

Last goodbyes
On a cold December night, Joyce and her daughter were at the train station, surrounded by many people waiting for their trains, just like little Casey and her mother.
On the other side of the station, Casey and her friends were spending their final moments together, as Casey`s family was about to move to another town. They enjoyed playing their favourite game, one last time and James, their old friend, told stories.
As the large train approached slowly, Joyce took Casey away and went inside. Poor girl. She looked back with sadness, at her friends. After they settled smoothly on their seats, the little girl began to cry and Joyce tried to
comfort her, promising to teach her how to write letters to her friends. Casey hoped to see her friends again in the summer, and her mom reassured her that they would do their best to make it happen.
“True friends do not forget each other…You will see! They will be delighted to see you back in the summer! You will play together and have fun!”, her mom told her
“I hope so….”, Casey said in a low voice so that her mom could not hear her.

OUR FAVOURITE HOLIDAY IN OUR COUNTRY
28 FEBRUARY

Dia de Andalucia holds a special place in the hearts of Andalusians as it commemorates a pivotal moment in our history. On February 28th, 1980, the people of Andalusia exercised their democratic right and voted for autonomy in a referendum.
Once upon a time, in the sunny land of Andalusia, there lived a group of children who loved to dance flamenco and eat delicious tapas. Every day after school, they would gather in the town square to practice their fancy footwork and twirl their colorful skirts. On weekends, the children would visit the local markets to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, and they would always stop by the churro stand for a sweet treat. They would then head to the beach to build sandcastles and splash in the sparkling blue sea. In Andalusia, it was common for families to gather for big feasts called "ferias," where they would dance, sing, and eat traditional dishes like paella and gazpacho. The children loved thesecelebrations, where they could run around with their friends and enjoy the lively music and colorful decorations. And so, the children of Andalusia grew up surrounded by the rich culture and vibrant traditions of their beautiful homeland, always cherishing the memories of their carefree days filled with laughter and joy.
